While The Big House offers privacy, three guest cabins are situated at the base of the property. Other things to note Please Note: While The Big House sits privately atop the hill with peaceful views and plenty of space to relax, there are three additional cabins located toward the base of the property. These cabins may be occupied by other guests during your stay. The layout of the land provides natural separation and privacy, but you may occasionally see or hear other visitors enjoying the shared outdoor areas below. A Note About the Train: From time to time, the nearby train passes through the area and sounds its horn—usually lasting about 10–15 seconds. Most guests find it to be a part of the local charm, but we want to be sure all guests are aware ahead of time. We do provide earplugs and sound machines in every room to hopefully ensure uninterrupted sleep.
