A full kitchen, a modern bathroom, a queen on the main floor, a second queen in the loft, and a sofa bed, sleep up to six. Unwind on the private deck with open ranch views, then visit the Observer Lodge for classes, a stocked library, and easy conversation. You are 45 minutes south of Colorado Springs, with the Royal Gorge nearby. The nights out here are long, quiet, and full of stars. The space Nestled in a quiet corner of our campground, our cabins offer peaceful seclusion with minimal light pollution, perfect for stargazing. Guests are welcome to check out a telescope from the lodge to explore the night sky. Each cabin area also features a fire ring for cozy campfires. Observer Ranch is more than a campground; it's also a learning center, where guests can connect with nature, community, and hands-on skills. Guest access You have the whole unit and your private deck or site to yourselves. Across the 76-acre ranch you're also welcome at the Observer Lodge for classes, the library, the Little Spark kids' area, and a warm place to gather, plus the grounds and shared facilities. Our team is at the Lodge whenever you need anything. Other things to note Observer Ranch is a working campground and learning center, so you'll see a little friendly activity around the property. Evenings here are quiet and dark by design, which is half the magic. We have a small gift shop with basic items, firewood we can bring out to you, ice cream treats, and cold beverages. If you need something, just ask, we may have it! A few house notes to keep the Ranch safe and beautiful for everyone: • Speed limit: 5 MPH throughout the Ranch. • Campfires: only in designated fire rings, and never left unattended. • Pets: must be leashed outdoors at all times. • Energy & water: please use A/C, heat, and water responsibly — when you're away for the day, set the thermostat higher for A/C or lower for heat to conserve energy.
