Creekside cottage in JC!

Welcome to our private cottage with spacious decks overlooking a lovely year-round creek. There are several outdoor seating areas and a gas BBQ for you to enjoy the surrounding meadow and forest with its wildlife and majestic trees, while taking in the rushing creek below. The cottage is a cozy 988 sqft, with large livingroom windows facing the creek and an open floor plan with the sun-lit kitchen. Note that the bedroom shares the same space as the entry; stay tuned for future renovations! The space You will be staying in the main house. The wooden building across from the house with the garden and shop is private, but feel free to walk the surrounding meadow. The AC in the livingroom is an older wall unit and the thermostat on the remote isn't accurate. Best to simply lower the temperature if you'd like it to be cooler. The bedroom/sunroom does not have AC; cooling via night venting is best. However, it is CRUCIAL to close the latch at the bottom of the screen doors if you leave the doors open at night, to prevent small animals from entering the home. Please be diligent about this! Please do not use the wood stove, nor light any flames/candles/incense of any kind, including camp fires. Beware of the steep slope between the house and the creek and poison oak in various areas. Please do not leave any food, trash or recycling outside as it attracts bears and other wildlife. There is a sound system in the livingroom that can be connected via bluetooth ("J22") or any device that uses a usb-c or auxiliary cable. Connect your device, then tap the top of the puck for a green indicator light. Volume can be controlled by rotating the puck clockwise and counter-clockwise. If your device stops playing for a few minutes, the puck will go into sleep mode, from which you'll need to tap the top of it again. Guest access There are two stone pillars at the start of the driveway. Drive on in and park by the steps up to the main house. The main door is at the far end of the deck, on the opposite side of the house. You will be provided with a keypad code before your arrival.
