Located only 15 minutes to Boone and Appalachian State University, Elk Knob State Park. 30 minutes to Blowing Rock, Tweetsie, Sugar Mtn, Grandfather Mtn, Rich Mtn., Blue Ridge Parkway, Watauga Lake, Banner Elk, Linville. Also close to Damascus, Abingdon, Bristol, Elkin- wine country. Great central location between the tri-states, NC, VA, TN. Nice quiet private home with a small fenced area for your furry family. Outdoor playhouse for kids as well. Master bedroom with en suite bathroom downstairs. Additional bedroom and bathroom downstairs. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms, 1 with a balcony overlooking serene private forest. 1 additional bathroom upstairs. All white towels, linens, comforters and soft waterproof under sheetings are sanitized, washed between each booking with hot water and germicidal bleach. All surfaces are cleaned with germicidal bleach and or 91% alcohol. Absolutely NO smoking or vaping inside of the home or property, $500 + fee High heat cooking welcomed outside. No frying inside. $250 + fee Access & Weather Notice: Please travel with caution. This rural mountain retreat is easily located just off Highway 421; however, access to the home is via a steep gravel driveway. In snowy, icy, or wet conditions, the driveway may be inaccessible to some vehicles. Guests should be prepared to park in the designated area at the base of the driveway and walk up with appropriate footwear if conditions require. An AWD or 4WD vehicle is strongly recommended, especially during winter months. By booking, guests acknowledge and accept the risks associated with mountain travel and weather conditions. Weather Policy: Cancellations or refunds are not provided due to weather or road conditions. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect against mountain terrain and weather-related disruptions.
