Escape to the pet-friendly Maple Cabin, the perfect place to create vacation memories for families. With two bedrooms on the main floor and a cozy loft bedroom, there is plenty of room for everyone to unwind. This spacious cabin offers much needed serenity when escaping the stress of life. There is a gas grill for perfect summer burgers, a trolling boat for exploring the beautiful lake, and a picturesque hiking trail. End your day by the gas fireplace, enjoying the sounds of nature. The space Mountain Laurel Lake was built by my husband in 1985. He made his vision a reality by erecting a dam, digging a lake that is spring fed and hand building 6 cabins, docks, a covered bridge, roads and even the water supply system. Mountain Laurel Lake is built on an appx 130 acre property. Five of the cabins sit directly on the lake with one at the "top of the hill". Each cabin has private lake access with a 2 person trolling motor fishing boat. The lake is stocked with bass, crappie, blue gill and catfish. There are different hiking trails to pick from, varying in levels of difficulty. ***NO FISHING LICENSE REQUIRED*** The trails are beautiful all year round with an abundant wildlife population flourishing on our hunt free property. There are waterfalls and creeks to enjoy along the way with dramatic cliffsides sprouting new waterfalls with heavy rains. The lake is appx 30 acres and only guests have access. Many guests have spent lazy summer afternoons floating on the lake without a care in the world for large boats, or the waves they create. Our lake is large enough to spend all day fishing, but small enough to hear your family call you back in for dinner. ***NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY*** A variety of wildlife can be seen at Mountain Laurel Lake. Some of the wildlife seen include white-tailed deer, squirrels, a wide array of birds, and beautiful wildflowers. Guest access There are no stairs to get into this cabin, however there are stairs to get to the boat dock.
