Welcome to The Salem Hideaway, a private basement suite nestled among the trees in the quiet village of Salem, just minutes from historic Elora. Enjoy your own private entrance, heated pool, hot tub, fire pit, and peaceful surroundings. We live upstairs, so you may occasionally hear normal household sounds, but we do our best to keep things quiet and ensure you have a relaxing stay. Minutes from Elora, you’ll be close to shops, restaurants, hiking trails, and everything the area has to offer The space Our Bed & Breakfast is a cozy, private basement apartment located within our family home, where we live upstairs with our small dog Neymar. You'll enjoy your own spacious retreat with exclusive access to the salt water pool and Hot Tub completely reserved for your use. No other guests will be sharing these amenities during your stay, so you can relax in total privacy. Guest access You’ll have full access to the entire basement apartment, as well as the pool, hot tub, outdoor lounge areas, and the outdoor dining table—everything you need to relax and enjoy your stay in comfort and privacy. Other things to note We live upstairs in the main part of the house, so you might hear us walking around from time to time. We do our best to be mindful and quiet, especially in the evenings. We also have a sweet little dog named Neymar 🐶 — he stays with us upstairs and doesn’t go into the guest space, but you might hear or catch a glimpse of him now and then. The key to the apartment will be in a lockbox hanging on the fence. The day before you arrive, I’ll send you a message with everything you need to know including the code and a link with all the check-in instructions. Super easy! The saltwater pool and hot tub are just for you to enjoy during your stay, no other guests will be using them. Please just be mindful of quiet hours after 10 PM. We truly want you to feel at home, relax, and enjoy your time here. Please note: The heated outdoor pool is available until September 30. The pool is closed for the winter season starting October 1.
