Nestled outside Gainesville in Hawthorne, this cabin offers everything you need to unplug, unwind, and reconnect with nature. Sip coffee on the screened porch, cast a line from the private dock, or simply relax by the water. Great fishing, tranquil views, and cozy cabin vibes await! The space Monkey Business is a cozy, two-story lakefront cabin with three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The main floor features one queen bedroom and a full bathroom, along with a fully equipped kitchen, coffee bar area, and a small dining space. Just a few steps down, you'll find the main living room and a larger dining area. The living room offers beautiful lake views through the large sliding glass doors that open to the screened-in back porch. Upstairs, you'll fine the second full bathroom and two additional bedrooms - one with a queen bed and one with a full bed. Each bedroom includes a closet and full-length mirror. Outside, enjoy the screened-in porch with a bistro table for 2, porch swing, an open-air outdoor shower, hot tub, and all of the charm of the peaceful lakefront living. The private dock includes a boat lift for guest use, and you're welcome to bring your own jet skis or boat to launch and keep at the property during your stay if water conditions permit. Please note: Cowpen Lake is currently experiencing lower-than-normal water levels. If boating is the primary reason for your trip, please message us before booking so we can provide the most up-to-date lake conditions. Guest access Guests have full access to the entire home, porch, and garage. You'll also enjoy access to the outdoor shower, private dock, boat lift, hot tub, grill, stand-up paddleboard, kayak, and floating pad. The entire property is yours to enjoy during your stay. Other things to note The well water has a natural iron smell but is totally safe to shower and consume, it is just part of the lake life charm! Please reach out to me before your stay for confirmation the hot tub is ready for use, as the water is drained and re-filled prior to each stay. Cell service can be spotty, but most providers have no trouble with calls or texts once connected to WiFi. Feel free to swim and play in the lake, but please follow dock rules, swim at your own risk, and keep a close eye on little ones near the water. Water levels on Cowpen Lake naturally fluctuate throughout the years. The lake is currently lower than normal. Fishing, relaxing by the water, and enjoying the views are still wonderful, but boating may be limited until water levels rise. We appreciate your understanding!
