The space From the moment we saw this stunning log cabin nestled at the back of the large front yard, it spoke to our souls—prompting us to want to stay forever. It was as if the universe knew this place was exactly what we needed. After decades of hard work, raising children, and working full-time, the cabin offered us true respite. With its rustic beauty and quiet charm, the world just felt simpler when we were here. But alas, we can’t live here full-time quite yet. Work still beckons, and retirement is still a few years away. Until that glorious day comes, we invite you to experience everything this country gem has to offer. We hope you’ll enjoy it as much as we have. --- What to Expect When You Visit The large front porch will call to you to come and sit. Relax and breathe in the fresh mountain air. Listen to the wind chimes sing their melodic tunes. Sip your coffee and take it all in. If you’re quiet, you may even spot some wildlife wandering through the front yard. In the evening, watch the spectacular sunset while rocking in the chairs or swinging on the porch swing. If you stay out until dusk, you’ll likely see bats fluttering through the yard. They’ve just woken up and are hunting insects. They mean you no harm and won’t come close—I find them fascinating. I hope you do too! No? Well then, the inside of the cabin is just as charming. Bedrooms: There are three comfortable bedrooms. The spacious master is upstairs with a comfy adjustable king bed—raise the head or feet to suit your sleep preference. The master bath is stocked with toiletries, fresh towels, and extra blankets. Loft: Also upstairs, there’s a cozy sleeping loft with a skylight and two twin trundle beds, sleeping up to four more guests. Downstairs: You’ll find two more bedrooms—one with a plush queen bed, and the other with three twin beds (a bunk plus a standalone). A second full bathroom is just down the hall. Living Room & Kitchen: Enjoy a gorgeous stone fireplace, an HDTV loaded with streaming apps, and a spacious kitchen/dining area. The dining table seats 8, with room for 4 more at the counter. Extra seating is just outside the sliding doors. The kitchen is fully stocked with appliances, cookware, utensils, and dinnerware—perfect for making and sharing delicious meals. Dine indoors, or head outside to the back patio and eat under the stars. Solar-powered string lights create a cozy glow. If it rains, open up the cantilever umbrellas and stay dry. Backyard & Basement: Descend the steps to the fenced backyard and gather around the firepit—don’t forget the marshmallows! Back inside, the finished basement offers even more space to spread out. There’s a modular sofa that sleeps one or two more guests, another large HDTV with a comfy sectional, toys and games for kids, and a mini library with books for all ages. The washer and dryer are also down here, free for your use during your stay. --- Our Vision for This Rental We know what matters most when staying in someone else’s home. Our top priority has always been cleanliness, followed by conveniences that make traveling as a family easier and more enjoyable. So we’ve done our best to make this cabin as clean, comfortable, and welcoming as any place we’d want to book ourselves. Other things to note It is very important to note that the cabin has a set of open stairs between the main floor and upstairs. The steps do not have backs. Please do not let small children play on or near the steps. We will have baby gates available for your use, but please, keep children off the steps for their safety.
