Enjoy your next U.P. adventure in this two-bedroom hideaway above Campfire Coffee Roasters, right in the heart of downtown Negaunee! This rustic yet modern apartment is perfect for mountain bikers, trail trekkers, and anyone chasing that fresh-air freedom of the Upper Peninsula. Just steps from the Iron Ore Heritage Trail and surrounded by the charm of a historic mining town full of local flavor, The WilderNest is your cozy basecamp for all-season adventure. Wake up to the smell of fresh-roasted coffee, find new-to-you treasures at the local antique shops, and end your day with a steamy sauna. That’s right, there’s your own personal sauna, because nothing says "U.P. relaxation station" like a good sauna, eh? You have full access to the garage, which can comfortably fit one car and your weekend toys, such as bikes and kayaks. Your private entrance is also located through here. The WilderNest is a second story apartment, and as this is an older building there is no elevator, so please be prepared to walk up the flight of stairs for your stay. The common spaces are bright and airy and are perfect for planning out your day or winding down together at night. For those chillier times of year, turn on the gas powered stove in the living room to amp up the coziness factor. The kitchen comes with basic pots and pans in case you want to show off your on-the-fly culinary skills, so don’t forget to pack your ingredients. We’ll have some coffee on the counter for your mornings, but you’re also welcome to come down to the coffee shop and enjoy a 10% discount on your order! Just let your barista know you’re staying with us when you stop in. A full bathroom is accessible off the living room area, while the half bath is down the quiet hallway. The bedrooms are secluded from the main area for additional privacy. Two queen beds with lofted twins sleep 6 comfortably in one room, while the other bedroom boasts a king sized bed. There are closets and hangers in both that you’re more than welcome to use. Please note: The coffee shop operates daily from early morning to mid-afternoon, so you may hear some hustle and bustle from below. Guest access Your access is through the garage (off of Jackson St) where you will find another door that leads you to the upstairs apartment. Immediately to your right, before the stairs, you'll find the SAUNA. Please enjoy! You have full access of the upstairs. Please do not park on either side of the garage. Please feel free to utilize the garage for bikes, kayak and etc. There may be a rare occasion we may ask you to remove items/vehicles for a big coffee bean delivery. Other things to note Please note: This apartment is above Campfire Coffee Roasters. The coffee shop operates daily from early morning to mid-afternoon, so you may hear some hustle and bustle from below. Garage fits 1 vehicle, all others are to use free street parking. Please do not park on either side of the garage, as one side is our ADA compliant entry for the coffee shop and also used for deliveries and the other is private property. There is a public parking lot across the street from Iron Street that you are welcome to park in (near the brewery). Let the baristas at the coffee shop know you are staying upstairs and receive 10% off your order!
