The Homestead

The whole group will be comfy in this roomy and unique space. The rear of "The Homestead" features a large covered porch, a bbq area with gas grill, a separate area with picnic tables, chairs and a fire pit looking into the serenity of the woods. A full kitchen with all the necessities, an eat at island, quartz countertops comfy living room make for some great get togethers. The 2nd floor bonus room has 2 arcade games, a large TV and extra sleeping space. Bedrooms have ceiling fans and TV's. The space Relax and unwind at this exceptional and roomy 5-bedroom house. Each room offers a pleasant and soothing atmosphere. On the first floor is 1 king bedroom with a private bathroom and 2 queen bedrooms with a shared bathroom. The second floor has 1 queen bedroom with a work desk at the dormer window and another queen bedroom that also has a separate twin bed and a work station with a view. These bedrooms share a large bathroom. The second floor bonus room is a large area with 5 twin beds and 2 arcade style games, great for the family and friends! The 3 bathrooms are equipped with a shower or bathtub for your convenience. All bedrooms are equipped with Roku TVs, ceiling fans and sizeable closets. There are large TVs in the Living and Bonus rooms as well. Relax in the superb living room or enjoy the wonderful kitchen with all the necessaries including an island and quartz countertops. Out back you'll find an ample covered porch with a dining table and chairs, next to it is a separate area with a gas grill and picnic table on a concrete pad. Beyond that is a large fire pit complete with picnic tables and Adirondack style chairs for relaxing by the campfire and enjoying the natural surroundings. We are close to the Hatfield McCoy and Spearhead Trails, in fact you can access them with no trailering necessary. We are 15 minutes from Pinnacle Rock State Park and a scenic 30 minute drive from The Back of The Dragon motor route. Winterplace Ski Resort is about 54 minutes away. The recently established New River Gorge National Park is 1 hour and 20 minutes, where white water rafting and hiking are popular. Other things to note A short walk from your accommodation will bring you to our Real McCoy Store. The store has trail passes, firewood, BBQ necessities, personal items, snacks & cold drinks as well as gifts, apparel, souvenirs and other items. There is also a Dollar General in the town of Pocahontas.
