The Whistle-Stop Cottage ​Experience the perfect blend of modern comfort and small-town nostalgia in our newly built cottage. Located in the heart of West, Texas. We are located right across from the tracks. There is something soulful about the rumble and the rhythm of passing trains—it’s the heartbeat of Texas and a nod to the town’s rich history. ​We offer a wood fenced back yard. Whether you’re searing steaks on the grill, star gazing, or sharing stories its a great space to relax! The space This is a modern farmhouse that was built 4 years ago here in the heart of Texas ! Its a 3 bedroom two bath with two large available walk in closets. One is a king suite with a large bathroom with double vanity and walk in shower. There is a queen bedroom and a Twin bedroom with desk and office chair so you can work in peace there if you do bring your laptop and work with you. I am equipped for children with a pack and play with bassinet on top for a baby . I also have a full size kitchen, very modern with an induction stove top. It’s well equipped. In backyard there is a small propane grill, a propane firepit with 4 Adirondack chairs to stargaze or enjoy telling stories. I made this home very comfortable and a touch of luxury. For rainy days, I have puzzles and games and books for kids in the twin closet. There are camping chairs and a cooler if you plan on visiting a park or going to an outdoor event while visiting us in the carport storage room . We have a public pool here in West.The Playdium. Call and see when they are open.I have an outdoor shower in the back if you need to rinse off . You are welcome to use the carport parking to avoid hale or sun.We are dog friendly. Guest access The entire home, 1 covered parking spot and another one behind it, and private wooden fenced backyard Other things to note I have a propane grill out back for grilling steaks or burgers, also an outdoor table for dining . We have a conversation pit with propane firepit table . We are very dog friendly . I would prefer dogs not to run freely in front yard and to be with you because the home is across from train tracks and trains pass randomly . Dogs are welcome in the house or fenced backyard . Please clean grill after use. I have a house manual explaining appliances and internet in a folder on kitchen counter. Feel free to take snacks from the basket , drinks are in fridge, and coffee is self serve on the coffee bar with all the fixins. Relax here, get spoiled and enjoy the simplicity and friendliness of West!!
