The space The Whistle-Stop Cottage This recently built modern farmhouse offers a refined yet relaxed stay in the heart of West, Texas. We are within walking distance to Fillin’ Station and Village Bakery, and Czech american is 1/4 mile down the street. This farmhouse is thoughtfully designed with both comfort and style in mind, the home features three beautifully appointed bedrooms and two spacious bathrooms using fine wood furnishings, soft and cool bamboo and cotton bedding, feather ( and alternative feather in closets) pillows, and the finest soft and thick towels we could find for your comfort. The primary king suite serves as a private retreat, complete with a spa-like bath featuring a double vanity and walk-in shower using Paul Mitchell spa products . A serene queen bedroom and a versatile twin room—complete with a desk and office chair—provide comfortable accommodations for guests or a quiet, dedicated workspace. The fully equipped kitchen showcases sleek, modern finishes, including an induction cooktop, and is stocked for everything from casual breakfasts to full meals at home for your comfort located in the huge pantry . Step outside to your private, wood-fenced backyard designed for relaxing evenings—featuring a Weber grill, a propane fire pit, and Adirondack seating perfect for stargazing or unwinding under the Texas sky while enjoying s’mores at the firepit or a glass of wine and good conversation after a long day . Families are warmly welcomed, with a pack-and-play (including bassinet), as well as a good selection of puzzles, games, and children’s books for rainy days or to Just wind down . For outings, guests have access to camping chairs and a cooler, conveniently stored in the carport closet along with crates and pads for your dogs. Additional amenities include covered parking, a convenient outdoor shower, and dog-friendly accommodations. Guests visiting in warmer months can also enjoy the local favorite, The Playdium public pool, opening each May. We are proudly dog-friendly, with a fully tall wooden fenced backyard and welcoming cool indoor spaces for your furry companions. I have crates and beds and welcome treats to spoil them rotten on “their” vacation,too! Re handicapped Accessibility: There are only 1” step in front doorway and one going to the back. No stairs inside .For wheelchair reference, we have front and back doorways that are 32”. Front master is 30” , master bathroom door is 28. Master has walk in shower with no steps. Guest bathroom door is 26” and a tub with shower . I do not have hoists. The front has solar lighting to enter and leave the home. For your convenience, a house manual with appliance instructions and Wi-Fi details is provided on the kitchen counter . Guests are invited to enjoy complimentary snacks, a selection of beverages in the side by side refrigerator, and a well-appointed coffee bar featuring both a drip coffee maker and Keurig, fully stocked with all the essentials.
