Ideal for couples and small families, the cabin features a cozy queen bedroom plus a comfortable sleeper sofa in the living area—perfect for kids. Whether you're looking for a quiet weekend away, a base for exploring the mountains, or easy access to the Appalachian Trail (just ½ mile from Maryland most popular access point!), you'll find plenty to enjoy. The space This A-frame cabin was custom-designed by the host and embraces the tiny-home philosophy of simplicity and efficiency without sacrificing comfort. Inside you'll find high-speed WiFi, modern heating and cooling for year-round comfort, a full kitchen and bathroom, and thoughtful safety features including smoke and carbon monoxide alarms and a residential fire sprinkler system. The cabin sits on 10-acres which is part of family-run Christmas tree farm and overlooks a private pond. Mature trees, open fields, and wooded views surround the property, providing privacy and a peaceful setting throughout the year while remaining conveniently located between Frederick and Hagerstown. Each season offers something different. In summer, treefrogs sing from the pond at night and fireflies fill the fields after sunset. A seasonal flower patch blooms later in the summer and provides a splash of color, with guests welcome to pick a bouquet to enjoy during their stay. Fall brings vibrant foliage throughout the surrounding countryside, winter offers quiet views across the farm, and spring brings fresh greenery and renewed activity from local wildlife. The property offers great proximity to multiple Appalachian Trail access points, with additional hiking opportunities at nearby South Mountain, Greenbrier, and Cunningham Falls State Parks. The property is also centrally located to Harpers Ferry, Frederick, Hagerstown, Civil War battlefields including Antietam, Gettysburg, and Monocacy, as well as numerous wineries, breweries, wedding venues, and historic towns throughout the region. For guests traveling from farther away, the cabin is within approximately 90 minutes of BWI, Dulles, Reagan National, and Harrisburg airports, making it a convenient meeting point for family and friends exploring the area or supporting Appalachian Trail hikers. Other things to note Please note that the stairs to the loft bedroom, while meeting residential building code, are steep and may be difficult for guests with mobility issues. The living room sofa quickly and easily converts into a comfortable, second queen-sized bed. Linens are available upon request but are not kept in the house - please let us know if you'd like these provided (though if your reservation includes more than 2 guests, they'll be provided automatically). Pets: While we love pets, we do not allow pets in the A-Frame at this time.
