Cabin in the Sky in Canton

Our little cabin is very unique as it was built in 1971. Restoring it to better than it was originally while keeping a lot of the charm. Moving the kitchen out of the second bedroom to where it is now. The floors are the beautiful original hardwood. To the untrained eye they appear dusty, but they usually just need a fresh wax applied. We love the way the cabin turned out and hope you do too. She is rustic and still a work in progress, it's not for everyone and that's ok. The space We are in the country on well water. It always has good water pressure, but some guests have mentioned on occasion the water will have a earthy smell like a lake. If this happens all you have to do is turn the water on for a few minutes and it will clear the line. This happens on occasion when Texas changes her mind about the weather. Though the aquaphor we are on is the same one Ozarka runs through we do have water filters for the shower and plan to get a system for the entire house. If being in the COUNTRY and dealing with a little dirt is not for you please do not book. We are located down a paved road and the parking is plentiful, but there is dirt in the driveway. Dirt will come into the home when you enter. The floors are original hardwood flooring that requires a wax every once in a while. They will not be shiny like LPV. They are not dirty most likely just needs a new wax. What shows as provided in the listing is what is there, as we don't always catch what may have walked off. The road is not perfect...we are in the country. There are deer...lots of them. We are in the country. There are bugs outside...we do spray inside once a month as well for control. Sometimes they sneak in if the door is left open. We are in the country. We also spray for bugs in the main parts of the yard, but we are in the country. We have well water sometimes you have to run the line when the weather randomly pulls a "Texas Change"...if that's not your thing we understand. We are in the country. We are on septic...no it's not connected to the well water. Thats not how that works. We are in the country. The bathroom is in the main room. That happens when you're in the country. We have all the amenities with peaceful country charm. We love all of our guests, but our place may not be for everyone and that is ok.
