Enjoy catch-and-release fishing in our pond, then lounge on the front porch under the stars as the fountain provides a calming soundtrack. Hot water, reliable heat, and all the comforts of home in a serene setting. -No pets policy. -No smoking/vaping is allowed inside the cabin The space The space: Our cabin is located 1 mile south of McArthur and sits on 6 acres of woods and 2 ponds. We have our ponds stocked for catch-and-release fishing (bring your own rods). Firewood could be provided with a fee. We are just 16 miles from many popular hiking trails (Old Man’s Cave, Cedar Falls, Ash Cave) & the Hocking Hills State Park. We are located just 5 miles from the Richland State Forest public ATV trails. So bring your 4 wheelers for even more fun! The cabin is 10 miles from the beautiful Zaleski State forest and for adventurous hikers, the eerie Moonville Tunnel, located 14 miles from the cabin. Lake Rupert and Lake Alma are both around 10 minutes away from the cabin. Lake Rupert is mainly known for recreational activities such as bank and boat fishing, but be aware that they have no boat rentals there. Lake Alma includes a public swimming beach, sports areas, and picnic areas. Lake Alma does offer boat and kayak rentals for those wanting water activities. Guest access You will receive your specific door code prior to arrival. Other things to note What makes this retreat special: - Memory foam queen-sized bed -Board games are available for fun - Comfortable essentials: hot water, reliable heat, Wi‑Fi, and a full bathroom -A coffee machine with complimentary coffee is available for use, along with a toaster, air fryer, and microwave -Outdoor grill ready for grill masters -Solo Stove firepit available but we DO NOT provide complimentary firewood. -Easy access to dining, groceries, and local attractions -Our smart TV includes streaming apps, please use your own accounts and log out afterwards. -Hunting is never permitted on our property. *** NO PET POLICY*** We love pets and understand how important they can be for many travelers. However, for safety, allergy considerations, and to protect our property, we do not allow any pets on the premises. ** NO SMOKING OR VAPING IS ALLOWED INSIDE THE CABIN. This rule covers cigarettes, e-cigarettes, and cannabis. A $250 odor/cleaning fee may apply, and the stay can be terminated immediately without refund if smoking or vaping is detected.
