The space Welcome to The Lodge Retreat, a spacious and secluded 3600 sq ft log cabin lodge perfect for your next group getaway! You will have the entire home (minus basement,garage and 3 closets) all to yourselves! Nestled on 40 private acres, this beautifully designed retreat offers a blend of rustic charm and modern amenities, ensuring a comfortable and memorable stay. Your Secluded Michigan Escape The Lodge Retreat is ideally located for both tranquility and adventure. We're just 35 minutes from Central Michigan University (Mt. Pleasant, MI) and Ferris State University (Big Rapids, MI), making us a great option for visiting families or groups. The lodge is situated a quarter-mile off a paved road with a winding blacktop driveway through mature trees, offering true seclusion. Comfort & Convenience for Everyone Designed with your vacation needs in mind, "The Lodge Retreat" comfortably sleeps 13 total guests, making it ideal for large groups. Indoor Comforts Fully Equipped Kitchen: Prepare delicious meals with ease! Our kitchen boasts a dishwasher, two ovens, an air fryer, crockpot, toaster, serving essentials, large mixing bowls, serving dishes, cookie sheet, mixer, blender, two coffee pots, one cup Keurig , and high chair. Before bringing it from home send me a message, I’m sure we have it. We provide 2 rolls of Paper towel, dish detergent, cooking oil, syrup, sugar, flour, and a variety of spices. Inviting Living Room: Relax by the fieldstone fireplace (decoration only) while enjoying the Smart TV. Flexible Dining: A 4-person dining table, a bar with 3 stools, and two 6-foot folding tables with 10 chairs (must set up) provide ample seating for your entire crew. Game Room Fun: The upper-level loft features a Smart TV, a 10-person poker table with chips and cards, indoor basketball, foosball, and a variety of board games. There's even a dedicated area with toys for younger guests. Work & Laundry: Desktop workspace with fiber internet ensure you can stay connected if needed. A full-size washer and dryer are available for your free use on the main floor. Bathroom Essentials: The lodge includes a full bathroom and a half bath on the main floor, plus full baths in both master suites. All are equipped with shampoo, conditioner, body soap, blow dryers, towels and toilet paper. Sleeping Arrangements We offer a variety of comfortable sleeping options: Bedroom 1 (Main Level): Queen-size bed and Smart TV. Bedroom 2 (Main Level): Queen-size bed and walk-out access to the screened-in porch. Master Suite 1 (Upper Level): 1 Queen bed and 1 twin bed, walk-out balcony with two chairs, in-room sink, vanity, and a full private bath. Master Suite 2 (Upper Level): Queen bed and one twin w/ trundle, walk-in closet, in-room kitchenette (microwave, mini-fridge, sink, Coffee maker w/ cofffee) and Smart TV, and an additional bonus room off this suite has 2 twin beds and a dresser. This suite also includes a full private bath. Childs pack in play with sheets ready available. Linens: All linens are provided, with extra blankets readily available. Outdoor Adventures Screened Porch: Enjoy the view of the pool from the screened porch with comfortable seating. Heated In-Ground private pool. Take a refreshing dip in our heated in-ground pool thats located behind the house. Pool has a diving board ( maximum weight 250lbs). (Please note: Swim at your own risk; life jackets are not provided). Some Pool floating devices are available, along with pool towels. The pool is open from May 14th 2026 to September 14th 2026. 2027- Pool will open June 1st. Bonfire Pit: Gather around the outdoor fire pit with some provided wood, and chairs for cozy evenings under the stars. Note: If a burn ban is in place for Fork township, bonfire’s are not permitted by law. Local authorities update daily at 10 am. Corn hole boards provided Grilling Options: Choose between a charcoal grill and a propane grill for your outdoor cooking needs. We provide propane and charcoal. Grills are available until October 1st. Then stored away for the winter months. Hiking Trail: 1/2 mile loop trail. Note: Trail is closed from September 1st to December 1st for safety and out of respect for hunters. Guest must remain on the trail at all times. There are two trails that connect to this loop and go north. They are marked private property and you do not have access to these trails. The trails do have cameras on them. Unregistered guests, will incur in a $250 per night per unregistered guest fee. Be sure you have the correct amount marked at the time of your booking. We understand plans change. If you have already booked and want to add additional guests, this is great! Just send me a message, we will do our best to work something out. Please keep in mind, our home is located in the woods. If a guest leaves a door open for a long period of time, it’s possible for bugs and outside critters to enter. We do not refund guests if this happens. We just ask that you please try and keep doors closed as much as possible to prevent this from happening. Our pool is also located behind the house and butts up to the woods. It will look just like the pictures, clean! It does attract natures creatures now and then. Don’t panic, nothing that will eat you, just use the skimmer to get it out. Nice gift shop and hands down, best donuts ever! In the fall they also do free hayrides to the pumpkin patch where you can pick out pumpkins(pumpkins sold by the pound). Great place! Rooftop Landing - 25 mins ( take the Littles to see the Reindeer!) open most of the yeari Houghton Lake - 1 hour Cadillac - 1 hour Hardy Dam - 50 mins Baldwin ORV trails - 50 mins Side note: Mt. pleasant or Big rapids have a lot of typical chain restaurants. Couple of restaurants we enjoy would include Antlers fireside grill, and the Royal Grill located in Canadian Lakes. Another good place to eat is Two Hats Ranch located by Big rapids. They do not serve daily. They put out a menu on FB with the dates and times or you can call them. Hiking trails-Deerfield Nature Park has really nice trails with a walking bridge going across the river. 26 mins from the house. If you would like a day at the beach, school section lake in Mecosta-21 mins from house or Coldwater lake in Weidman- 19 mins from house. Ready to reconnect with nature and create lasting memories? Other things to note Our home is not equipped with a generator at this time. In the event the house loses power, you will have a couple options. One- leaving and receiving a refund for any nights that you did not occupy the house. Two- stay at the house and wait for power to be restored.
