EXPERIENCE LIVING IN A MODERNISED MANOR HOUSE Believe it or not one family could afford to live in this impressive manor house at one time - and it wasn't so long ago ! We offer two large double guest bedrooms with shared bathroom facilities. We operate a "HOMESTAY" bed and breakfast and our objective is to make sure that all our guests FEEL AT HOME. The space Mount Rule House was built in 1853 as the MANOR HOUSE of a 1300 acre five farm estate. With grand reception rooms on the ground floor, the family bedrooms on the first floor and the children's nursery and staff quarters "OUT OF SIGHT OUT OF MIND" on the second floor, this was aristocratic living at it's finest. The house was converted into 6 apartments and modernised in 1973 but much of the old world charm still remains. Our apartment is sympathetically decorated and well maintained with large airy rooms throughout. We are on the second floor but don't worry, we have a LIFT. Our home, BRITISH and PARSEE, is decorated with artefacts from around the world - a collection bought lovingly during our travels spanning over 30 years. After all Rome was not built in a day ! Guest access We have two spacious guest bedrooms with double beds. Both rooms can accommodate an additional inflatable single bed by prior arrangement and an additional charge. Many of our guests have used this facility for children and additional adults and have found the inflatable beds to be extremely comfortable. There are two shared bathrooms in which a selection of toiletries is always available. Breakfast is served in the dining room where guests will find tea and coffee making facilities. The dining room gives access to a large open roof terrace overlooking the gardens, where guests are welcome to smoke. Guests are also welcome to join us in the drawing room for a chat. Laundry facilities are available by arrangement and for an additional charge. During your stay WELCOME ONE AND WELCOME ALL ! Other things to note We are situated in a quiet, rural location in BRADDAN but less than 10 minutes from central DOUGLAS by car or motorcycle. PLEASE READ THE DIRECTIONS TO OUR HOME WHICH ARE ON THE WEBSITE. We have amply FREE PARKING beside the house and a large double garage in which our motorcycling friends and guests are welcome to park their machines.
