Welcome to Hyde Park Cottage - a cozy, vintage retreat in the heart of the Hudson Valley. Just minutes from the FDR Presidential Library & Home, Culinary Institute of America, Vanderbilt Mansion, and scenic trails, this thoughtfully designed home blends old-world charm with modern comforts. Enjoy peaceful mornings in the sun room, evenings by the fire, and easy access to local shops, farms, and river views. Perfect for romantic getaways, workcations, or weekend adventures. The space We’re so happy to share our cozy cottage with you. Hyde Park is our favorite home base to take in the Hudson Valley and we hope you’ll feel just as comfortable here as we do. Living Room The heart of the house is our cozy living room. Curl up with a book, watch your favorite movies or shows on the smart TV, and enjoy the wood-burning fireplace for a snug night in. Sunroom One of our favorite spots is the bright and peaceful sunroom. Sip your morning coffee, enjoy intimate meals, or settle into another cozy reading corner. Dining Room Our dining room is one of the best gathering spots in the house. It’s big enough for shared meals and sprawling board games. The space is open to the living room and kitchen, so it’s easy to stay connected whether you’re cooking, eating, or just enjoying each other’s company. Kitchen The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you’ll need to make meals at home. From the coffee maker for your morning cup to the pots, pans, and utensils for dinner prep, we’ve tried to think of all the little touches that make cooking easy. Bedrooms The Acorn Suite (Bedroom 1) has a comfortable queen bed plus the convenience of its own half bath right inside the room. The Mushroom Room (Bedroom 2) has a cozy double bed and gets beautiful light in the mornings. The Fern Room (Bedroom 3) has a comfortable double bed and a charming window seat area- perhaps our favorite book nook in the house!. Bathrooms We have one full bathroom upstairs with a tub/shower combo and a convenient half bath on the main floor (in the Acorn Suite). We’ve provided shampoo, conditioner, soaps, lotion, and hairdryers to keep you clean and comfortable during your stay. Work & Wellness Spaces If you need to work while you’re here, there’s a dedicated desk/office space and strong Wi-Fi. There’s also a small gym room with free weights, yoga mats and blocks, and a smart TV so you can stream your favorite fitness class. Laundry You’ll have access to our washer and dryer, with provided detergent. Parking Our driveway just to the left of our home makes for easy parking, loading, and unloading. Guest access Guests will have full access to the entire home and property during their stay. There are a few maintenance closets that will remain locked during your stay and we also ask that guests do not access the basement. Other things to note Located on historic Albany Post Rd in the heart of Hyde Park, we are so close to so much. Quaint towns and villages like Rhinebeck, Kingston, and Cold Spring are close by, with plenty of shops, cafes, and local markets to enjoy. The regions rich agricultural roots mean we are just a quick drive from numerous farms, wineries, cideries and unique restaurant experiences. We are conveniently located for a visit to one of the many academic campuses in the area including the Culinary Institute of America, Marist University, and Vassar College. And, in just minutes, you can experience the natural beauty of the region, walking by the river, hiking local trails, or taking the Walkway Over the Hudson for some spectacular views.
