The property is divided into two separate houses (front and back) on the property with no shared walls! This listing is for the residence in the cozy back guest house. You have your own private entrance and 1 free parking (for a standard sized vehicle right next to the guest house; no large vehicle, no RV, no trailer, no trailer attached and similar) in front of the garage adjacent to the back guest house. Enter through the "narrow" driveway (narrow because it was built in 1938 - WE CANNOT CHANGE THE LAYOUT!) located on the left side of the property and proceed through the white ornate gates to your reserved parking spot in front of the garage in the back. The gate is left opened during your entire stay; you're welcome to come and go during your stay. Enter/exit at your own risk/responsibility. Please understand that the home was built in 1938. The home was built with materials/designs from its time period. We cannot change the home in any shape or form (i.e. walls, doors, windows, etc.) unless we obtain permits/approvals with the city/county. It is a lengthy and expensive process. We will work on upgrading the property as necessary over a period of time. In the meantime we will continue to strive to provide a clean home with the essentials/necessities for all guests. The entire back guest house will be only available to you; it is not shared. The back guest house has 1 bedroom, 1 bath (NOT in the bedroom, it is next to the kitchen), a living room and a full kitchen. The bedroom has a queen sized bed and the living room has a full sized sofa bed. Bathroom and kitchen basics are available, see full details below. See all photos! Water pressure for shower is great! Yes, there will be noises from the water tank as you're taking a shower or whenever water is needed to be heated up. If you take showers back to back, the 'hot' water will reduce as it takes time for water to be heated up again. Remember this is a water tank. Water is not instantly heated. We don't have a tankless instant hot water heater. WASHER/DRYER - Shared combination stacked washer and dryer, which is found outside "behind" the outdoor patio fireplace next to the waste bins. See property layout in the photos. Please note that I am unable to omit this statement from Airbnb after selecting Washer and Dryer under Amenities: "In the building, free or for a fee". It is outside of the guest house and it is free to use. - Detergent (Tide) and dryer sheets provided - Instructions in "Welcome Binder" and on appliance itself -NOTE: This washer/dryer may be used by the front house tenets. Please understand that we cannot change the size of the driveway or the entry way as it was built as such in 1938. A standard size parking spot available to the guest located directly in front of the garage (NOT in the garage). Feel free to park there but please pull up all the way so you do not block the driveway. Street parking is free during the day, but overnight parking will require an overnight permit (permit information available in the listing description and the Welcome binder upon arrival). Street cleaning on every Thursday, please be aware of the time frames (8-11:30AM and 12-3PM) and which side of the street when parking.
