The Railway Retreat: For your much needed escape

The Railway Retreat is a stunning oak framed barn, set in quiet Berkshire countryside. It's recently been converted to the highest standard, creating a beautiful, relaxing space. Bring your VI Pooches to stay. They can scamper around the fully enclosed garden, while you're still tucked up in bed, enjoying your morning mug of tea. (We'll leave some milk in the fridge for you.) After your lie in, enjoy breakfast on us. Fresh eggs from our hens, home baked sourdough bread, butter and jam. The space A Sanctuary for Sleep: Retreat to a wonderfully comfortable super-king-sized bed where you can drift off to sleep beneath high vaulted ceilings and wake up to a view of the sky. Total Comfort in All Seasons: Keep cosy with luxurious underfloor heating in the winter; stay perfectly cool in the summer via our efficient air-source heat pump. A Dream for VIPooches: Your dogs will be in absolute heaven here. They can scamper safely around your fully enclosed, private garden while you enjoy a quiet morning mug of tea in bed. We even provide a handy outdoor tap for washing muddy paws, plus an indoor washing machine, just in case. Modern & Practical touches: A fully stocked kitchen filled with essentials for home-cooked meals, a private parking space and a fast EV charger for your convenience. Unwind completely with no traffic, no streetlights – just peaceful birdsong by day and a sky full of stars at night. Whether you are escaping the kids for a quick night away, taking a relaxing breath before your wedding, or celebrating a special anniversary, you will leave here feeling completely restored. Guest access The Railway Retreat is an entirely detached property, ensuring real privacy and a genuine sense of seclusion. While you share a driveway with our home, your space, garden and parking area are completely your own. From your private patio, step directly onto the old converted railway line. Wander through our peaceful orchard of apple, pear, plum, quince and walnut trees. You can swing peacefully in the hammock or take a warm drink down to the secluded bench at the far end of the path, for a truly magical, quiet morning escape.
