An Unforgettable View is a peaceful two-bedroom farm stay in Dixons Creek, where days begin with mist over the vineyards and end with a glass of wine as the sun drops behind the hills. Soak in the bath by the window, light the wood fire, watch kangaroos wander past, then step outside to meet our rescued animals. Clear nights here are made for stargazing, wineries and slow Yarra Valley weekends. The space Step into a bright, newly finished two-bedroom home made for slow mornings and long evenings in the Yarra Valley. Inside, the open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge is where the day starts with coffee and ends by the wood fire, glass in hand, as the valley turns gold outside the windows. Cooking is easy here: a full kitchen with cooktop, oven, full-size fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, plus the bits you need for simple meals and cheese platters. The dining table suits lazy breakfasts, and the lounge is made for curling up after a winery day. When it’s time to sleep, there are two queen bedrooms plus a double fold-out, all with quality linen and calm outlooks — one across the dam and hills, the other toward the paddocks. You’ll have two bathrooms, so everyone has space: an ensuite off the master, plus the main bathroom with a bath by the window for sunset soaks over the vines and valley — and it doubles as an ensuite for the second bedroom too. Outside, front and rear decks set the tone for morning coffee, evening wine, and clear-night stargazing. This is a rescue farm stay, so by arrangement we can take you in to meet and feed the donkeys and horses, visit the sheep, chickens and ducks (and soon a rescue pig), and collect fresh eggs when available. Feel like getting creative? Borrow our easel, find your favourite view, and paint a scene to take home. Bikes are available too — just let us know ahead of time how many you’d like. A bottle of local wine from our friends at Corniola Vineyard and Cellar Door is included as a welcome gesture. With 48 hours’ notice, we can set up a fruit/wine/cheese platter on arrival for an extra cost, plus simple celebration touches like balloons, chocolates and cake on request. Guest access You’ll have private use of the entire two-bedroom house, plus the front and rear decks and your own outdoor seating to take in the views. Private outdoor parking is available. The farm areas (paddocks, animal zones, sheds) are part of our working rescue property and are accessed with us, by arrangement, for feeding/pats, meeting the animals and collecting eggs when available. Our home and tiny house are also on the same property, though your house and decks are set up to feel private. Bikes can be made available on request — let us know how many you’d like and we’ll show you where they’re stored. Other things to note Children are very welcome, with a high chair and child-friendly dishes provided, though they’ll need active supervision around animals and farm areas. Please drive very slowly up the driveway — this is a rescue farm, animals may be nearby, and our small dogs sometimes greet new arrivals enthusiastically. Smoking is welcome outdoors only (on the decks), with ashtrays provided. There’s no on-site laundry, but a full laundromat is located about 8 minutes away in Yarra Glen. Wi-Fi is available throughout the house for browsing and streaming, though mobile reception can be patchy in parts of the valley — we recommend downloading directions before arrival. The home is professionally cleaned between stays. Smoke alarms, a fire extinguisher, first aid kit and exterior lighting are in place for your safety. We’re proud to offer a resource-conscious stay: the property runs on tank water, composting and recycling are part of daily life, and eco-friendly products and LED lighting are used wherever possible.
