The cottage has French and English TV and High speed Fibre Optic internet. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are in the cottage. The property is situated in Manot, a quiet village with a shop and post office .Manot is on a scenic route and has its own small beach where you can kayak and pan for gold! There is also a public tennis court in the village. There is no pool at the property at the moment as it is being renovated but you can swim in the nearby Lac du Haute Charente or in Confolens swimming pools. Nearby Confolens is a quaint Medieval town on the River Vienne where there are plenty of shops, restaurants, bars and a cinema. Beautiful area for walking, cycling, kayaking, bird watching.There are also fishing and golfing facilities nearby. Other activities available near by are Velo rail,( which is like a pedalo on a railway track) Adventure park Guerlie Plage and Les Lacs de Haute Charente are 24 kms away
