The space Inside The Portal, you’ll find: Queen-Sized Bed – Complete with soft linens and plush pillows for a restful night’s sleep Loveseat & Blanket – A cozy place to relax, read, or take in the views Full-Length Mirror – A thoughtful touch for getting ready Rustic Wooden Coffee Station – Includes storage space and a French press for your morning ritual—just bring your own coffee and grounds Solar Powered Lighting – Offers ambient lighting for evenings Clothes Rack with Hangers – Keeps your things tidy Shelf with Towels – Fresh towels provided for your stay This glamping unit is off-grid and does not have standard electrical outlets. A solar-powered system provides ambient light; we recommend bringing portable chargers for any electronics. Guests may also charge their electronics in the communal area. Each of our glamping units have their own private firepits. Step outside onto your private deck with a bistro table and chairs, perfect for enjoying a quiet sunrise or an evening under the stars. At the Oak Grove Communal Area, guests have access to games, fire pits, and an outdoor kitchen space. The Camp Shop, located in the Oak Grove shipping container, is open on weekends and stocked with basics like firewood, snacks, and bug spray. Guest access Guests have private access to The Portal tent and its outdoor deck, complete with a bistro table, seating area, and a private fire pit. A shared outdoor kitchen and dishwashing station are located nearby for convenient meal prep. You’ll also have access to the Oak Grove communal area, which features fire pits, lawn games, and the weekend Camp Shop stocked with firewood, snacks, and essentials. Enjoy self check-in via lockbox. The tent is reached by a short gravel road that’s easily accessible for most vehicles. Other things to note Set on 101 acres of coastal mountain terrain, Splitrock Farm & Retreat offers a tranquil escape surrounded by nature. Guests can enjoy panoramic views from oak groves to the ocean horizon on clear days, along with 6+ miles of hiking and biking trails, including a signature 5K loop. The retreat features unique glamping sites, communal spaces with fire pits and games, and a Camp Shop for essentials. Nearby attractions include Fallbrook, Temecula’s wine country, and Santa Margarita River Trail. Santa Margarita River Trail Preserve, just 3 miles from the site, is one of the last free-flowing wild rivers in Southern California and was voted the #1 trail in San Diego County. This scenic, state-managed trail is home to broad water impoundments created by California golden beavers and marks the southernmost range of steelhead trout.
