Description
Escape to a modern-rustic sanctuary perched 3,600 feet above the world. Harrison Serenity Ranch offers a refined glamping experience that bridges California history with mindful, off-grid living. This retreat features a cozy queen bed and glass doors that open to a private deck with sweeping valley and Pacific views. Explore hiking trails, a yoga deck, and historic mortar stones. The unit includes a solar-powered battery for lighting and charging small electronics. The space Our tiny home is a masterclass in intentional, minimalist design, offering a front-row seat to the rugged beauty of Palomar Mountain. - The Interior: Step inside to a bright, airy studio layout featuring a plush queen bed. The signature "floating" bed design maximizes floor space while ensuring you wake up to framed views of the surrounding oak and pine forest. - Indoor-Outdoor Living: Large glass-paneled double doors open wide onto your private redwood deck. Whether you're enjoying morning coffee or a sunset dinner, the deck serves as an extension of the home with panoramic vistas that stretch all the way to the Pacific Ocean on clear days. - Off-Grid Power: Experience modern sustainability. The unit is equipped with its own solar-powered battery system, providing soft interior lighting and the ability to charge small devices (phones, tablets, and cameras) while you unplug from the city grid. - Artesian Water: Refresh yourself with pure water sourced directly from our historic artesian well, first established on the ranch in 1892. - Historic Grounding: Right outside your door, you’ll find authentic Native American mortar stones (grinding rocks), a physical connection to the ancient history of this ridge. Guest access When you stay at the ranch, the land is your playground. You are invited to explore most of our 67-acre off-grid sanctuary, including: - Private Trails: Enjoy full access to miles of scenic walking trails that wind through oak groves and pine-forested ridges. - The Yoga Deck: A short walk from your tiny home leads to our communal yoga deck—the perfect spot for morning meditation, sunset stretching, or late-night stargazing. - Historic Sites: Wander over to the remains of the historic Nate Harrison stone house or visit the ancient Native American mortar stones located right on the grounds. - The Grounds: You are welcome to roam and find your own quiet corner of the mountain. - Facilities: Outdoor showers are available for all guests staying two nights or more. Please Note: To ensure the privacy of everyone on the ranch, some specific areas are reserved. This includes the private decks and BBQ areas attached to other cabins. However, if you're interested in using a BBQ area, please just ask our on-site Camp Host—depending on the number of guests, we are often happy to arrange access for you! Other things to note Harrison Serenity Ranch is located 6 miles up Nate Harrison Grade Road via Highway 76. The road is a well-maintained gravel grade; it is narrow but safe for most passenger vehicles. We do not recommend this route for RVs or trailers exceeding 30 feet. Please avoid the alternative S6 access near Lake Henshaw, as that 3-mile stretch is much rougher and best reserved for trips to the Palomar Observatory.
