Located 10 mins north of the Villages. 30 mins south of Ocala and 8 mins to the closest walking trail in the Ocala National Forest on the Ocklawaha River. 2nd floor room with private bath and entrance. The Ocala National Forest walking trails begin 8 miles to the East on CR42. and many notable springs locations an easy drive. 10mins from The Villages of Lady Lake, 1hr. 30mins from Orlando International Airport, Florida. This accommodation is located on the 2nd Floor (no elevator) with an exterior entrance just off the 2nd floor deck. It is brightly decorated and furnished with a Queen four poster bed, marble shower and make-up area, DirecTV, Free WiFi. During Hurricane season, typically August-October, we may lose power - we do not have a generator. We are located on high ground! NOTE*If you need electricity for a breathing machine or other - you need to make other accommodations. Other accommodations available at a higher price and for BIG group 'family reunions' (not listed here) include Annie's Victorian Cottage - very private and not part of the main house. It is elegantly decorated and furnished with a king poster bed, a four person Coleman therapy spa on the back porch, mini refrigerator, an electric fireplace and surround sound. Other accommodations in the main building boast marble whirlpool suites with 4 poster beds and fireplaces. Even more charming suites are available that will accommodate families - ask us! Once a thriving Florida orange grove estate - the Inn is nestled on a three acre hill top in the rolling countryside of Marion County (Ocala-Lake Weir-Weirsdale) It's three story original Victorian structure was built in 1887 and is a well known local historic landmark. Nightly Live outdoor entertainment is close by on three lively town squares with fun and fanciful shopping, restaurants, movie theaters, dancing, golf cart rentals and then some. The Grand Oaks equestrian venue Weirsdale - 8min drive. Horse boxes and big trucks park easily here. Convenient to 100+ miles of hiking/running/biking trails, live theater, museums, natural springs, rivers for canoeing/kayaking at Juniper, Alexander and Silver Glen Springs - Silver Springs State Park. The Orange Blossom Opry located 1 mile from the Inn boasts live shows Thursday - Saturday (Thurs. night is local jam night - bring your instrument and sign up to be onstage!). Carney Island Park located on Lake Weir - swimming, hiking, biking and sunset picnics (12 minutes from the Inn) hosts the HITS Ironman Triathlon each year. Two lakefront restaurants with live weekend entertainment - Gator Joes (North Lake Weir-Ocklawaha) and Eaton's Beach Sandbar and Grill (South Shore 3 mins from us) add their own flavor to your taste buds on airy Lake Weir. Jet skis and pontoon boats may be rented from Eaton's Beach on Lake Weir - located only 3 minutes from us (by car). Mountain Biking - Belleview Santos Bike Park 18mins. and the Florida Greenway and Horse Park 25mins. Bikes can be rented from the Santos Bike Shop. HorseBack Riding: Cactus Jack Trail Rides use the Florida Greenway and Silver Springs State Park. There's so much to see and do :) Guest access Interior common areas and exterior pool area and porches are available to guests. The Kitchen and laundry room are ONLY available to groups who rent the entire property for multiple nights. Guests provide all of their own meals. The owners are available for any emergencies. During your stay We have an office-apartment on the property used when necessary. We are accessible sometimes in person and always by phone.
