To fully enjoy the treasures of Tahaa and explore the island at your own pace, renting a car or scooter is highly recommended. The space Welcome to your villa in Tahaa, the Vanilla Island, in the heart of French Polynesia. An ideal stay to enjoy nature, the lagoon, and the authentic charm of Tahaa. This peaceful haven, perfect for 5 people, offers 2 air-conditioned bedrooms (one with a king-size bed and the other with a double bed), a sofa bed in the living room, a television, Wi-Fi, and a fully equipped kitchen (refrigerator/freezer, oven/stove, Nespresso machine, etc.). Outside, enjoy your meals with a large terrace view on the lagoon, a parking for 2 cars, and a large enclosed garden (manual gate). Bonus: swimming in the lagoon is directly accessible from the house. To be completely independent on the island, we recommend renting a car or scooter. Tahaa is easily accessible thanks to the water taxi shuttles that run daily from Raiatea. They depart from the Uturoa dock (near the old champion and the Bon Apetahi pastry shop) and drop you off at the Vaitoare dock, where a taxi or your rental vehicle can be waiting for you. I highly recommend taking the Tahaa Express (reservations required). This shuttle to the Vaitoare dock in Tahaa also makes stops at docks closer to the villa : - Haamene Dock (located near the Tahaa Maitai restaurant). Departure from Uturoa at 7:00 am, 8:00 am, 12:00, and 15:30 pm. - Faaaha Dock, located just 1 minute from the house. Departure from Uturoa at 17:00 pm. Haamene is the small village of Tahaa. For your shopping needs, you'll find the post office, a doctor, a pharmacy, a small supermarket (Utile), the Tahaa Maitai restaurant, and local food trucks. You'll find other small supermarkets around the island. Please note that there are two gas stations: one in Patio and one at the Tapuamu dock. I would be happy to recommend places to visit or excellent tour operators to help you make the most of your stay: vanilla plantation, rum distillery, pearl farm, coral garden, and island excursions.
