The space Welcome to our peaceful, private three-bedroom cottage on beautiful Nightingales Lane in the Chiltern Hills. This fully self-contained space offers everything you need for a relaxing countryside break, your own entrance, parking, outdoor seating area, modern kitchen, cosy living room and two bright bathrooms. Surrounded by trees and set apart from the main house, the cottage is quiet, spacious and perfect for families, walkers, dog owners and anyone wanting to unwind. The location is ideal: just a five-minute drive to Chalfont & Latimer Station with fast trains into London Marylebone and the Metropolitan Line into central London. Nearby you’ll find lovely towns and villages, including Amersham, Beaconsfield, Chorleywood and the Chalfonts, all filled with cafés, pubs, restaurants, shops and scenic walks. The Chiltern Hills AONB is right on the doorstep, offering woodland trails, rolling countryside, wildlife and endless places to explore. Local attractions such as Harry Potter Studios, Chenies Manor, Chorleywood Common, Wendover Woods and Black Park are all within easy reach. Inside, the cottage is bright, clean and comfortable with tasteful furnishings and plenty of space for couples, families or small groups. We pride ourselves on being flexible with check-in and check-out times where possible, and we always aim to make your stay as easy and enjoyable as possible. Guest access Guests have full access to the entire private cottage and the closed-off outdoor area directly in front of it, including the parking space. You’ll be given a code for the main gate so you can come and go whenever you like. You’re also welcome to have post delivered during your stay, as the postman can reach the cottage easily. The cottage is fully separate from the main house, and we kindly ask guests to respect our privacy by not entering the main property or the areas directly around our home. If you’d like to explore the wider gardens or woodland surrounding the property, just check with us first. We are more than happy to show you what’s accessible, we just don’t want anyone wandering into areas that aren’t guest-safe. Otherwise, you have your own private space to enjoy throughout your stay. Other things to note Please note that a family lives in the main house, so we simply ask guests to be respectful of that during their stay. You may also see our dog, Trowser, a very friendly English Cocker Spaniel, who sometimes runs around the grounds. He won’t bother you, but he may say hello from a distance. The property is also home to local wildlife, and it’s common to spot deer, rabbits, and other countryside animals nearby. They are completely harmless and usually disappear the moment they notice people.
