Step from the house onto a cozy porch that opens to a sweeping grassy yard, leading down to a lakeside patio where you can enjoy morning coffee, sunset cocktails, or simply watch the boats drift by. With direct waterfront access, it’s the ideal setting to relax, reconnect, and truly live the lake life. Venture out for walks on the Isle and hiking trails close by. Guests also enjoy access to Candlewood Isle’s exclusive amenities—including tennis courts, pickleball, basketball, a sandy beach, etc.—giving you everything you need for a memorable stay on Connecticut’s most beloved lake. Quaint retreat offerings thoughtfully updated amenities, including a newly renovated bathroom, new linens and towels, and a fully equipped kitchen. MAIN FLOOR - Fully equipped kitchen with updated appliances + essentials, tons of pantry space with both a Keurig and Drip Coffee Machine - Dining room opening into a bright sunroom/living space - Den cozy and ready for movie nights with Smart TV - Laundry in Den Closet, stacked units for smaller loads. - Half bath off the kitchen - Walk out to spacious porch with gas grill and outdoor dinning area SECOND FLOOR Yellow Room: 2 twin beds + dresser Green Room: King bed, closets, 2 dressers, built-in desk perfect for home office use. Newly Renovated Full Bathroom: walk-in shower Additional Full Bathroom: tub/shower combo THIRD FLOOR Orange Room: 2 twin beds, hanging rack, shelving, lake views Blue Room (Primary Bedroom): spacious, 2 dressers, closet, shelving units, peaceful water views—close enough to fall asleep to the sound of the lake Sleeps 8 comfortably (6 Beds) All linens and towels are brand new. You may park your boat at the house dock, but please note: - The dock sits on the rougher side of the lake - We cannot guarantee your boat won’t shift, bump, or get nicked during rough water or storms - In winter, the lake often freezes, offering snowshoeing and ice skating right outside your door. IMPORTANT: Swimming, boating, and all water activities on Candlewood Lake are done at your own risk. Guests are responsible for their own safety while enjoying the lake. PETS CONSIDERED, but PRIOR APPROVAL REQUIRED before booking. - Pets are not allowed on the property without prior approval. - A minimum charge of $500 applies for unauthorized pets. - Approved pets incur a $25 per night per pet service fee (charged after booking). - Guests are asked to keep pets off furniture and crate them if left alone in the home. - Guests must clean up after their pets and report any “accidents” prior to departure. GUEST ACCESS Guests have access to the entire home and all Candlewood Isle amenities listed above. A unique door code will be provided for your stay. There are two parking spaces in the alcove in front of the house. Street parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis during the day. There is generally NO overnight parking on the street. During winter months, when snow is expected, this is heavily enforced; plows must be able to plow the entire street. ABOUT NEW FAIRFIELD & CANDLEWOOD LAKE Candlewood Lake is Connecticut’s largest lake and one of its most cherished recreational spots. Spend your days boating, kayaking, swimming, fishing, or simply relaxing by the water. The surrounding towns offer small-town charm, local markets, hiking trails, restaurants, and plenty of outdoor activities. Even though the home feels like a peaceful lakeside escape, everything you need is just a short drive away. - Restaurants (5–10 minutes) - Coffee & Breakfast (5–10 minutes) - Groceries (5-15 minutes) - Hiking & Nature (10–15 minutes) - Danbury Shopping Area (15–20 minutes) - 70 miles from NYC NOTE Before Booking: FAMILY RENTAL ONLY We require at least one party member to be 25 (twenty-five) years of age! GUEST IDENTIFICATION REQUIRED Guests may be asked to complete a Clear ID verification before check-in. If this is not completed, the entry code will not be provided, and the reservation will be subject to cancellation with no refund. FALSIFIED RESERVATION Any reservation obtained under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of the reservation deposit, damage deposit, and/or balance of rental payment. NO PARTIES, EVENTS, PERFORMING ARTISTS OR BANDS ARE ALLOWED AT ANY TIME. The maximum number of guests or visitors for this house, as indicated in the listing, should be honored at all times, day or night. These are cause for eviction with no refund and may damage our ability to offer the home to future guests, exposing you to liability. This is a quiet residential neighborhood; please be respectful of the neighbors at all times!
