Glamping with Mini Highlander Cows!

Stay in a luxury glamping tent in the pasture with our friendly Highland mini cows—your own private farm escape. Perfect for a romantic getaway or a cozy group retreat. The space Welcome to our 134-acre working farm in Northeast Ohio, where peaceful pastureland meets a one-of-a-kind glamping experience. Your luxury yurt-style tent sits on a raised deck in the pasture with our two miniature Highland cows—Jupiter (a horned, orange-colored beauty) and Charlotte (her softer-hued sidekick). An electric fence runs through the middle of the pasture, so the cows graze on one side and you have the yurt side to yourself. You can watch them all day and walk up to the fence to see them. Just make sure everyone in your group, especially kids, knows the fence is electric and not to touch it. Want to meet them up close? For stays through November 15, 2026, we'll schedule a 30-minute supervised visit during your stay. One of us will put their halters on so you can pet them, stand right beside them, and take pictures. If you'd rather not have an electric fence near the yurt, just let us know and we'll keep the cows in a different area of the farm during your stay. Looking ahead: Starting around March/April 2027, we plan to move the cows to a more central location on the farm. Since we've added more rentals, this lets guests from all of our stays visit the cows while also giving yurt guests more privacy. Supervised visits won't be offered next season, and we'll update this description once the new setup is ready. You'll likely spot a few more farm friends during your stay, too. Our three Babydoll sheep and two Nigerian Dwarf goats roam freely around the farm, so don't be surprised if they wander by to say hello. The tent is positioned to give you full privacy, with views of rolling hills, open skies, and (seasonally) a full field of corn until harvest. While the farm's main residence is on the property, it's far enough away to ensure your space feels fully your own. You'll fall asleep to the sound of crickets and wake to birdsong. On clear nights, the stars are absolutely breathtaking. What to Expect This is a true glamping experience—cozy, comfortable, and connected to nature. The tent includes: A full-size bed with canopy and string lights Two heavy-duty cots (500 lb capacity each) if you'd like to sleep up to four A mini wood-burning stove for charm and cool nights (best on calm days; see note below) A mini refrigerator for food and drinks A Keurig K-Express Essentials Plus (hot and iced) single-serve coffee maker. Bring your favorite K-Cup pods (coffee, tea, or any flavor you love) An elegant outdoor daybed for lounging A large fire pit with outdoor seating A Gozney pizza dome oven for baking fresh pizzas and other meals Outdoor string lighting to set the mood after dark The shower is rustic and unforgettable—a semi-open-air setup beside an old grain silo with a propane on-demand hot water heater. A sunset shower here is truly something special. For the restroom, a private and professionally serviced porta-john is reserved exclusively for yurt guests and is pumped weekly for cleanliness. While the tent is beautifully furnished and cozy, it's still a tent. That means you may encounter bugs, temperature fluctuations, and yes—since you're on a working farm with cows in the pasture—some manure. That's part of the charm and authenticity of the experience. We provide extra blankets, electric blankets, and an electric heater, and can offer a fan or portable A/C on request depending on the season. But please note: this is not an insulated home. We'll do our best to make your stay as comfortable as possible while still honoring the natural setting. A note on the wood-burning stove: please use it with care, and only on calm, low-wind days. On windy days, gusts can push smoke back down the chimney and fill the tent. If it's breezy, we recommend using the electric heater and blankets instead.
