The space Step into this cosy lakeside cabin and immediately feel at ease in the bright, open-plan interior, with large windows and warm wooden finishes that bring the outdoors inside. The main living space includes a comfy double bed, a double sofa bed, a smart TV, a dining table for four, and fast Wi-Fi — perfect for relaxing or spending quality time with loved ones. The kitchenette is fully equipped with an electric hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, small fridge-freezer, and all essential cookware and utensils, making it easy to prepare meals during your stay. The modern bathroom features a shower with both handheld and waterfall options, a toilet, sink, and reliable hot water. Two heaters and a wardrobe ensure comfort and convenience throughout the year. Outside, the private patio with a stone table overlooks the tranquil lake, offering the perfect spot to enjoy morning coffee, evening drinks, or simply watch wildlife and soak in the peaceful nature setting. We also offer a charcoal barbecue and utensils for a small additional fee which must be requested in advance. Guest access Guests have private use of the entire cabin, the outside patio area and surrounding gardens. The lake is part of a small working fishery which may be used by up to a maximum of four anglers during your stay. This activity will not interfere with guests private use of the cabin or lakeside views. Private free parking is included for vehicles. Please note that other areas of the property, including the main house, horse stables and fields are not accessible to guests. Other things to note The lake operates as a quiet working fishery, and anglers may be seen fishing during your stay. Fishing access is not included with the cabin booking, but guests may request it in advance, subject to availability. Please message us to check availability. The cabin is set in a peaceful countryside location while remaining conveniently close to local attractions, including Broxbourne train station (direct trains to Central London in 28 minutes), Hertfordshire Zoo, Broxbourne Woods, and Lea Valley Park. Barbecue: A small barbecue suitable for 2 people, or a larger barbecue suitable for 4, is available on request only, subject to a small additional fee to cover charcoal and cleaning. Please message us in advance if you’d like to use it. Horses and dogs live on other parts of the property. They are kept in separate areas well away from the cabin area and lake but you may see or hear them during your stay. Private free parking is available on site. Check-in is 2–5pm. Guests arriving later must contact us in advance to arrange access. As the cabin is in a rural lakeside setting, you may see some insects or spiders and other wildlife especially in summer. This is a natural part of the countryside experience.
