Welcome to a lovely cozy 150 Year old Chalet. Located in the quiet car free village of Gimmelwald. Gimmelwald is only reachable by Aerial Tramway. Enjoy your own sleeping room with view to the stunning mountains Jungfrau, Äbniflue, Breithorn. Perfect for hiking/skiing relaxing. Jungfraujoch, First, Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald, Wengen, Interlaken and Schilthorn are close. Attention, bathroom and kitchen are shared with us or other guests! The space We welcome you in our original comfortable old chalet in the stunning area of Eiger Mönch and Jungfrau at Gimmelwald a small car free village only reachable by cable car. The perfect place for exploring, hiking, climbing, relaxing and for sure for skiing. Attention, bathroom and kitchen are shared! Guest access You will have your own private sleeping room. Bathroom and kitchen are shared. Attention, as this is a very old chalet, the room high is lower than normal! Check in is at 18:00 earliest! But You can enter the house from 14:00 on. Please put your luggage in the barn if you arrive before 18:00 as your room might not be prepared before 18:00. During your stay We speak German, English, a little bit Espanish and a little bit French. Other things to note There are no grocery stores located at Gimmelwald! Milk cheese and eggs, are sold by local farmers. You can buy food on the way to Gimmelwald. There are grocery stores/supermarkets at Lauterbrunnen (close to the train station), Wilderswil (at the train station) and Interlaken east (at the train station). During your stay the closest grocery store is located in Mürren (20 min by Aerial Tramway or 1h walking). The cost of the Aerial Tramway is around 7CHF and the operation times are from around 06:00 - 23:30. There are two Restaurants located in Gimmelwald serving food. Mountain Hostel and Pension Gimmelwald! There are more Restaurants located in Mürren (5 min by Aerial Tramway). There are also Restaurants in Lauterbrunnen and Stechelberg.
