Little Home Street in Athens

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway so close to the Athens Library and bike path in this sweet little Eastside house. So easy to access from the highway and near restaurants as well as all the East State Street businesses, community center with Athens Farmer Market and beautiful city pool. Near the Stimson Avenue entrance to the Ohio University campus makes extra convenient. The space This small furnished house has one bedroom with the second bedroom set up as an office. It is ideal for a person or couple who are coming to Athens for a few weeks or are in transition between places when moving to our college and/or community. Guest access Guests will have access to whole house and backyard. Lots of extra storage in the nice basement or the separate garage. Long term guests can make arrangements for full garage use for an additional fee. Other things to note So many nice walkable things in this quiet neighborhood. Our favorites are the wonderful public library (check out of bikes available) and access to the bike path that runs along the river through the O U campus. It continues for about 17 miles to Nelsonville and passes the Eclipse Company Store. With great food and over 30 varieties of beer, great half way point for a break. If you like to bike, check out the nearby Baileys Trail System in the Wayne National Forest. Trail bikers come from all over to utilize the great rides there. Otherwise, just relaxing in the quiet, fenced backyard under the huge shade tree is our favorite. Chairs are accessible in the garage if not out in the yard. Of course, we usually have two beautiful little boys climbing in the treehouse for entertainment! Let us know if you want to rent them for a few hours!!!!
