The space Welcome to Bryher Cottage, a bright and spacious one-bedroom single storey holiday retreat, nestled in a peaceful spot on the edge of Cadgwith – one of Cornwall’s most picturesque fishing villages, famed for its thatched cottages, friendly community, and stunning coastline. This modern, tranquil cottage is ideal for couples and solo guests looking to relax, unwind and explore the very best of the Lizard Peninsula. With private parking and an enclosed rear garden backing onto woodland, it’s a perfect location for those who love walking, nature, bird-watching and the coastal lifestyle. Accommodation & Features: One spacious bedroom with king-size bed and views across the lane – occasional sightings of deer, badgers, and foxes are possible! Bright open-plan living/kitchen/dining area with French doors opening onto a patio and lawned garden. Well-equipped kitchen – ceramic hob, double oven, under-counter fridge, microwave, air fryer, Nespresso-compatible coffee machine, and a good selection of pots and utensils. Dining area with table and benches. Spacious lounge with 3-seater sofa, Smart TV, DVD player and a great selection of books, particularly focused on the Lizard Peninsula including nearby places to walk and explore. Modern bathroom with large walk-in rainfall shower (with side jets), basin and WC – towels provided. Private entrance porch – ideal for coats, boots and drying off after a coast path walk. Enclosed rear garden – backs onto peaceful woodland, a haven for birdsong and wildlife. Private driveway parking directly outside. Use of an outdoor tap for muddy boots and paws. Dog-Friendly: We welcome up to three dogs. The garden is enclosed (there is fencing behind the bushes shown on the photos), and we provide dog towels, fleece blankets, and feeding bowls. Please note: Dogs are not permitted on the bed or sofa. They are allowed in the bedroom though, where there is plenty of space to set up a crate, if desired. Dogs must not be left alone in the cottage. Important to Note: Wi-Fi is available, suitable for browsing and streaming, but upload speeds are limited, which may make remote working or large uploads difficult. Mobile phone signal and 4G coverage are very limited in this peaceful location. The lane outside gets very dark at night as there are no street lights – torches are provided. Local Highlights: Cadgwith Cove Inn – your friendly (and dog-friendly) local pub, just a short stroll down the lane. Don’t miss the Friday night sea shanty singing – a magical and truly Cornish experience. For dining, booking is recommended. Open all year round. Cadgwith Village – enjoy its two small beaches, gig racing events, Summer BBQs on the fishing beach, Cadgwith Cove Crab (a local fishmonger, which also sells sandwiches to take away), The Old Cellars licenced café/restaurant (also dog-friendly) and The Crows Nest Gallery. South West Coast Path – just minutes from your door, with breathtaking walks and sea views. Kynance Cove – 6 minutes’ drive. Lizard Village (shops and amenities) – 7 minutes’ drive. Lizard Point – the southernmost tip of mainland Britain - under 10 minutes. Coverack Beach – 15 minutes. Poldhu Surf Beach – 15 minutes. Frenchman’s Creek – 20 minutes. Ruan Minor Post Office/ General store – 5 minutes. Helston – 15 minutes, with supermarkets and shopping.
