Relax with the whole family at This Old House. Nestled just off the Bill Nicholls Trail 3 in Atlantic Mine, this serene location offers a great home base for all your UP adventures. Only 10 minutes from Houghton and Michigan Tech, 20 minutes from the airport, and just a drive away from several local beaches and hiking spots. This Old House was built in the early 1900s and has low ceilings throughout. The living room ceiling height is about 6'3" and the bedroom upstairs is just over 6'. The space We are located just across the street from the Bill Nicholls Trail 3, on a quiet, dead-end road, giving you the opportunity to use this location as a stay-and-ride home base. The back yard is plowed open to accommodate snowmobile trailers, and the driveway can fit 2-3 cars. A newly remodeled kitchen welcomes you. The fully stocked kitchen includes a fridge/freezer, gas range, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, and a Keurig Coffee Maker with k-cups and the option to make a pot of coffee. There is ample supply of pots, pans, bowls, plates, cups, and utensils for your stay. Just off the kitchen is the laundry room, with a washer and dryer. The living room is situated just off the dining room. The ceilings in the living room are 6'3" high, so if you're on the taller end, this may not be the place for you. The living room has a couch, love seat, and accent chair, as well as a Roku Smart TV with a Xumo streaming box with Charter TV. Connect to all your personal streaming options in our Guest Mode to ensure security on checkout. Also in the TV cabinet you will find games to entertain you on your stay. The main floor has a small bedroom with a twin bed and large mirror. Down the hallway you will find the lone bathroom. A full tub with a shower cleans you up and gets you on your way. Up the narrow staircase to the half-story upstairs. Knee-high walls to angled ceilings add to the aura of This Old House. In the primary walkthrough bedroom lies the full size bed, accented by two nightstands with plugins on top, as well as the accent bench. Through the walkthrough primary bedroom to the back bedroom, you will find two twin beds accented by a large nightstand between the beds with plugins on top. This ceiling stands the lowest, at just over 6' tall. The perfect bedroom for the kids. The backyard offers a fire pit in the summertime, and truck/trailer parking in the wintertime. For plowing in the wintertime, we will work around your schedule in terms of when cars are in the driveway or not. We can't wait to be your hosts! Guest access Keyless entry gives you the greenlight to use the entire home. Other things to note Being that the trail is just across the road, please note that there is trail noise. You can hear the snowmobiles go by in the winter, and side-by-sides in the summer. No smoking|vaping and no pets on this property! Additional cleaning fee if this is not followed. There is no access to the garage. This Old House is on well water instead of city water. When the power goes out, the water doesn’t work.
