Room at Äskhults Gård

Leave the city and fill your lungs with the fresh air from the forests of the highlands. Experience this paradisiacal oasis with poetically decorated rooms for time for thought, closeness and socializing with someone you like. Wake up to a good breakfast served/taken to the lounge. Or bring breakfast into the room. Bring your hiking boots for an adventure along the Höglandsleden trail that passes the farm and fill your water bottles at Svartån's spring. The space Welcome to a large, beautiful, historically decorated home! Located in a secluded countryside, surrounded by forest with proximity to hiking trails and lakes, while close to Eksjö, Nässjö and Jönköping, is Äskhults Gård. A place with a history dating back to the 14th century. Here you live in a secluded part of our home on the ground floor and with its own entrance and access to part of the large garden. Parking is possible just outside. Once inside, there is a large hall with connection to toilet with shower. The bedroom is bright and has windows facing the orchard. There is a double bed and the ceiling is adorned with an old, restored painting of Adam and Eve in paradise from the 1700s. The library, where you as guests can sit undisturbed, is decorated with a coffered ceiling where coats of arms from the families that previously owned the farm have been painted. There is also a comfortable sofa bed for two persons. Lastly, there is also a large hall furnished with dining table and sofa. Here, breakfast is served (for those guests who ordered it) and there is also a fridge, microwave, coffee maker and kettle for those who want to bring their own breakfast. Guest access All rooms accessible from the main entrance are for guests only. There's also an entrance to the right that's private where the family lives. During your stay I am happy to welcome you upon arrival to show you around and answer any questions or listen to requests. In the morning, I serve breakfast in the large hall if desired and take care of the dishes. After that, I am usually available if needed, as I work from home. Other things to note If you want breakfast, please let us know before! (The price for breakfast is SEK 100/person.) We have a dog, a rabbit, and two cats, but they do not stay in the guests space when renting, but can be found outdoors. The tile heaters in the bedrooms may only be used after contacting the host.
