The space Private Guest Suite with Spa Bath – Easy Walk to Town, Surrounded by Nature Enjoy a relaxed, comfortable stay in our private guest suite in Wangaratta, ideal for couples or small families looking for a peaceful base close to town and the region’s best outdoor experiences. The suite has its own private entrance and ensuite and opens onto a Mediterranean-style backyard courtyard where you can unwind after a day exploring. It’s calm, light-filled, and simply set up for an easy, stress-free stay. Families with a young child are very welcome. While there’s no permanent kid's bed, we’re happy to provide a single mattress on the floor or a travel cot on request. Children will love the large shared front lawn and play area, which includes a trampoline, sandpit and toys (with supervision). The Space The guest suite includes: - Comfortable queen bed with quality linen - Single floor mattress or travel cot available on request - Ensuite bathroom with enclosed step-in shower over a spa bath - Fresh towels, shampoo, conditioner and hair dryer - TV with streaming services and DVD player - Split-system heating and air-conditioning, plus ceiling fan - Bar table for dining or working - Recliner chair for relaxing The kitchenette is well suited to simple meals and coffee: - Bar fridge - Microwave - Kettle and toaster - Nespresso coffee machine Please note: there is no kitchen sink or stovetop. We provide a tub for used dishes, which can be placed outside for us to wash. There is a Weber bbq in the courtyard if you would like to cook. Outdoor Areas - Private, fully fenced Mediterranean-style backyard courtyard for guest use - Shared access to the front garden with lawn, trampoline and sandpit Location - Around a 15-minute walk into the centre of Wangaratta via the beautiful Merriwa Park - Quiet residential street with hosts living in the main part of the house - Close to cafes, restaurants, wineries, bike and walking trails Wangaratta is perfectly positioned for exploring the region. From here you’re within easy reach of: - Hiking and cycling in Warby-Ovens National Park - Local wineries and gourmet food producers - Mountain biking, golf and fishing - Historic towns like Beechworth - Bright and the Alpine region - Day trips to the snow in winter Family Fun & Outdoor Adventures Nearby Just minutes away you’ll find: - The Splash Park for summer fun - The Pump Track for bikes, scooters and skateboards - Merriwa Park and One Mile Creek for gentle walks and nature time A short 7-minute drive takes you to Apex Park, Wangaratta’s main playground, with a parkour course, shaded picnic areas and plenty of space for kids to run and play. Other things to note - This is a private guest suite attached to our home, with its own entrance. It’s not a separate standalone accommodation. - Guests have full use of the private, fenced backyard courtyard. The front garden is shared, so you may see us occasionally as we come and go. - The suite includes a kitchenette for simple meals and drinks only (bar fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee machine). - There’s no full kitchen, sink or stovetop, and no washing machine. - We provide a tub for used dishes and are happy to wash them daily. - No pets. - We prefer no smoking anywhere on the property.
