Greysen Bushland Retreat is perfect for relaxing and take in the sounds of nature's symphony. The Currawang and Collector district has the award-winning Cellar Doors of Lerida Estate and Lake George wineries, along with Olive View cafe, Some Cafe and Collector Fresh for locally made delicious food and produce. The cabins are adjoined to a commercial farm with a designated picnic spot one paddock over just a short walk from the cabins for the perfect sunset outlook! The space This one's called 'Bernstein'. Our cabins are made from recycled shipping containers (the tall ones!), which have been luxuriously converted featuring floor to ceiling glazing and a full-length balcony. They are fully lined and insulated, and include a private shower and toilet ensuite, a really comfy queen bed, indoor and outdoor furniture, a fridge, and tea & coffee making facilities. Due to council occupancy regulations the cabins don't have kitchens - although I don’t mind if you want to bring a gasmate/bbq and cook on the veranda. You can stock up the fridge with delicious charcuterie (crockery, cutlery and wine glasses provided), or travel to the local wineries (10 mins) or cafes/pub (5 mins) for your meals. A selection of books and CDs are available in your cabin for your enjoyment, and the unspoilt habitat on Greysen Estate is available to explore at your leisure. Guest access Located 100 metres from the main residence, the two separate cabins have their own vehicle entry and adjacent parking. Your cabin is self-contained with instant gas hot water, and electric heating/cooling fan. Other things to note To get to the sunset outlook follow the green tape wrapped around the trees to the south of the cabins to find your way to the access gate, head up to you left where a large tree will also have green tape wrapped around it. Find a spot you like and enjoy the sunset amongst the kangaroos, kookaburra's and deer. A picnic blanket is provided with your cabin. Note: Please do not travel beyond this paddock as we are a operating farm and it may disturb livestock. Service can be limited in the cabins but can located a within a short walk if you need to check messages/emails, we encourage you to have a detox from your tech and immerse in what nature has to offer.
