In this place your family can stay close to everything, the location is central. 2-300m to ski slopes (Nordmarka). 350m to swimming area with diving tower. Great hiking terrain for both walking and cycling, etc. It is about 10 min by car from the train station (Grua). Takes about 1 hour by car from Oslo, and about 1/2 hour by car from Gardermoen. You can go back to Oslo in summer and winter on foot/ski through Nordmarka. (Located about a 5-minute drive from Mylla, where I know many people take the ski bus in the winter.)
