Former premontrous abbey classified as a historical monument renovated in the 19th by Count Ducos, which gives it the appearance of a castle. The space The Royal Abbey of Septfontaines was an abbey of the Premonstratensian Order from its foundation in the 12th century until the Revolution. In the 19th century, Count Ducos, son of Napoleon III's Minister of the Navy, made it his home and gave it the appearance of a castle. In one wing of the building we have furnished five large guest rooms that retain their 19th-century style, with magnificent oak floors and antique wallpaper. Located on the ground floor and 1st floor, they bear the names of the ancient abbeys of the region and offer a soothing view of the estate's water feature, its woods and the meadows of the surrounding countryside. Our guests have at their disposal, at their choice, a private bathroom or a room with 3 showers; independent toilet. In the old adjoining barn, they can taste the beers of the abbey at the bar and enjoy its library. If you like charm and tranquility, simplicity and friendliness, this country setting will enchant you. In the shared spaces, cloister, relaxation room or living room, you can relax, enjoy the remarkable views of the place, play chess, interact with us.
