The courtyard and the grounds offer a relaxing area with views of the Pyrenees mountain range. Situated between Tarbes, Lourdes, and Bagnères-de-Bigorre, the village of Montgaillard is a good starting point for hiking or biking trips to Pyrenean sites. The interior of the house was completely refurbished in 2022. The space The house has three floors: 1 - Ground floor with living room, kitchen/dining room, an extra bedroom (5), a shower room, and a laundry room, 2 - First floor with two large bedrooms (1 and 2), a bathroom with bathtub, and a separate toilet, 3 - Second floor with two large bedrooms (3 and 4). The fully equipped kitchen/dining room provides a cozy setting for preparing meals. Two tables can accommodate up to 14 people: a 240 x 100 table for 10 and a round table for 4. The living room features 2 sofas and additional armchairs, a fireplace with an insert, TV, Wi-Fi, books, and games. The extra bedroom (5) is adjacent to the bathroom (shower, toilet), and includes a sofa that can be converted into a double bed (2 x 80 cm). The laundry room is equipped with a washer and dryer. On the first floor, two spacious bedrooms, a bathroom with bathtub, and a separate toilet. Bedroom 1, with a 160-cm bed, offers beautiful views of the Pyrenees. Bedroom 2 has a 160 cm bed and a daybed, ideal for small children. On the second floor, there are two more large bedrooms with a children's play area on the landing. Many toys are available for children. Bedroom 3 has a 160-cm bed and a 90-cm bed. Bedroom 4 has 4 90-cm beds and a sofa bed. Outside, there is an enclosed courtyard, a covered area (50 m²) under the shed, and at the rear, a sloping garden with a lovely view of the mountain and the surrounding countryside, as well as access to the promenade around the church. From the house, the walking paths around the hill will lead you to a panoramic view of the mountain range and the Pyrenean foothills. You can also stroll through the village on the banks of the Adour, and the local biscuit factory offers its specialties in a tea room set up in an old train car, for family snacks. The small town of Bagnères-de-Bigorre, with its thermal baths, its Aquensis spa complex, its local produce market, is 10 minutes away by car (or by bus with the Lio 960 Tarbes-Bagnères and 962 Lourdes-Bagnères lines, which pass a stone's throw from the house). From there you can go up to the ski slopes of La Mongie (30 min more from Bagnères, by car or with the Skibus in season). Nearby you will find many hiking trails, horse or donkey rides, and the Payolles resort with its lake and toboggan run in winter.
