Description
Welcome to our cozy little cottage built in the early 1930’s by a then well-known artist, Joe Koch (JoKo was his artist name). Joe designed and built the cottage and is full of his unique style. It was featured in 1950 in The Akron Beacon Journal with lots of pictures! All of the wormy chestnut wood (wood with holes in it) is original to the cottage. Even the tile by the fireplace is original. In this place many beautiful things were created. We hope you find beauty here too! The space The JoKo Cottage sits on 12.5 acres next an old barn and about 100 yards below (and in front) of the main house on the property. It’s a private cottage with beautiful nature scenery. Guest access The cottage is back a long driveway that curves and goes uphill. On a snowy day, AWD is a MUST even though we have the drive plowed. Parking is next to the cabin and a digital code for cabin access is shared on the day of check in. Other things to note Smoking can occur outdoors. Please do not dispose cigars or cigarette butts on the ground. Marijuana of any type is prohibited.
