Other things to note ℹ️ Good to Know / Things to Note Ideal for couples and relaxed stays: The cottage is best suited to couples or guests seeking a peaceful retreat. While it can accommodate up to four guests, the layout and dining space are intentionally cosy and designed for relaxed living rather than entertaining. Attic bedroom layout: The second bedroom is located in the attic and accessed by the second staircase. While it sits on its own private level, the room does not have a door and has restricted headroom in certain areas, reflecting the character of the original cottage. Dining space: The small round antique dining table can seat up to four guests at a push and is ideal for breakfasts, light meals or simple suppers. The cottage is designed for casual dining and many guests enjoy dining out locally, with excellent pubs and restaurants nearby. Stairs & layout: The cottage is arranged over 3 charming floors with two staircases and may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility. Children: Children are welcome; however, due to the layout of the cottage — including stairs and open fire, children must be supervised at all times. I can provide a travel cot and high chair on request. Pushchairs & buggies: Due to the cottage layout and to help protect interior floors and furnishings, I kindly ask that pushchairs and buggies are stored in the carport rather than brought inside. Laundry facilities: A combined washer-dryer is available for guest use. Kitchen: Please note there is no microwave in the property. The fridge also has no freezer section so ice cubes will be unavailable. Shoes inside the cottage: To help preserve the cottage and its flooring, I kindly ask that outdoor footwear is removed on arrival and left by the entrance. Safety: For your safety and peace of mind, the cottage is equipped with a first aid kit, smoke detector, and a carbon monoxide detector. It also has a fire extinguisher and blanket.
