"Pressoir à vin" quiet holiday home in the heart of the Aosta Valley
Newly renovated house. Located in a quiet hamlet of Arnad on the famous Via Francigena. Convenient free parking, in the immediate vicinity. Excellent starting point for excursions throughout the Aosta Valley but also an ideal place to enjoy a few relaxing days. On the ground floor the kitchen, habitable and modern, is complete with dishes, kettle and collection of tea and herbal teas, fridge, freezer, oven, induction hob and dishwasher. The room has a balcony, a double sofa bed, flat screen TV and a small library. The bathroom has a window and a shower. With a comfortable wooden staircase lit with LEDs you reach the attic attic and with 3 velux dormers where there is a double bedroom with open wardrobe and flat screen TV, a bedroom with 2 single beds and a bathroom with large shower. The upper part of the staircase is equipped with a gate so as to be made safe in the presence of smaller guests. For guests are available both bed linen and towels. Available for 4-legged guests you will find bowls and dog's pillow. In front of the apartment entrance there is a dehors equipped with table and chairs and access to the service room to conveniently store ski equipment. The service room is equipped with a washbasin, drying rack, work table, bicycle shelter, dryer for ski boots. The back of the apartment faces the bacon onto a romantic Aosta Valley courtyard. Nearby you will find grocery stores and typical local products, tobacconist, patisserie, bars and restaurants, pharmacy. The town of Arnad, known for its Lard (the only European lard with a protected designation of origin), is one of the first countries to meet upon entering Valle d'Aosta. It rises to 375 meters s. l.m., on the banks of the Dora Baltea and boasts a long history that began perhaps even before the Roman era. The parish church of San Martino is an interesting testimony of Romanesque architecture dating back to the 11th and 12th centuries. Noteworthy are three castles that dominate the town: Casaforte di Ville, Valleise Castle, Upper Castle. Just outside the inhabited center you can admire the Echallod Bridge, a beautiful stone bridge over the Dora and hidden in the chestnut wood the Machaby Sanctuary dedicated to the Madonna delle Nevi. Equally famous is the vast rock face with numerous routes equipped for free climbing in the two climbing gyms "Paretone" and "Gruviera. Rafting is practiced on the Dora Baltea. Nearby you can visit the Forte di Bard, home to permanent and periodic exhibitions, food and wine and craft markets and cultural events, the Issogne Castle, the Verres Castle, the Casino and the Baths of Saint Vincent, the Mont Avic Natural Park. Aosta with its Roman monuments and shopping is 40 km away. For lovers of winter sports, the downhill and cross-country ski slopes of Champorcher, Champoluc, Brusson, Estoul open a few kilometers away. Just as easily reach the stations of Gressoney and Cervinia. In the surroundings, endless possibilities for nature walks and snowshoeing in winter.
