Spacious & Serene Basement Apt.

Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space. Close to Amish country, Cuyahoga National Park (40 mins), 40 minutes from Cleveland Airport and 45 minutes from Malabar Farm State Park. You will be surrounded by trees and green grass (unless it's wintertime). Enjoy sitting outside listening to the birds, watching the local deer and turkey population. Play corn hole and listen for Amish buggies driving down the road. Plenty of space for kids and adults to run around outside. The space This is a spacious apartment in the basement of our home. We are close to many city's including Ashland (25 minutes), Mansfield (40 minutes), Medina (30 minutes). There are two sleeping areas; one is private with a queen size bed, desk and closet. You will sleep well here as there are no windows to provide light pollution. The second sleeping area is separated by blackout curtains and contains two twin beds and a large closet. In the living room you will find a comfortable couch, perfect for lounging with throw blankets and pillows. Plenty of seating is available throughout the space. Our basement is naturally cooler than most apartments, so bring a sweatshirt. Also, there is an electric fireplace to keep you warm. Enjoy several entertainment options with our 55" Smart TV w/Netflix and Disney Plus. Also, for your entertainment, there are card/board games as well as puzzle books and adult/child coloring books w/supplies. Enjoy a hot shower w/a heated fan when you step out of the shower. The full-sized kitchen offers everything you need to prepare a complete meal. If you need to stretch your legs, feel free to walk around the property in the woods or lawn area. We have over 10 acres to explore. There are also two Adirondack chairs for lounging outside in your private seating area. This is a dream homestead for the hosts who love sharing their space in the woods with others. Guest access Your apartment is 100% your space. Hosts will not be entering the apartment unless you invite them in. You will need to enter through our garage and into our mud room to reach the stairs that lead to your apartment. The garage, mud room, stairs and apartment entry area are shared areas and open to the guests and hosts alike. Please do not enter the upstairs residence beyond the mudroom. Also, there are two utility areas in the basement at the bottom of the stairs that are off limits for guests. If you have someone in your party who cannot do stairs, they may choose to walk around to the side of the house in the grass to enter through the sliding glass doors directly into your apartment. However, someone in your party will need to go down the stairs to let them in, unless you request beforehand that the Host leave the sliding glass doors unlocked for your arrival. This option is not available for a late arrival (past 10:30 pm). You may enjoy the front and side lawn to play games or walk. We have a back field that you can explore too, please do not enter our garden area. If you would like a tour of the garden feel free to reach out to the host to coordinate. Be aware that in the woods we do have poison ivy.
