La Donne — A Countryside Stay in Gascony

La Donne is a beautifully restored farmhouse designed for calm, memorable stays in Gascony. Set in private gardens with vineyard views towards the Pyrénées, it offers the space and comfort to slow down, dine outside and enjoy French country living. Whilst remaining peaceful and secluded, it's close to historic villages, markets, swimming lakes, excellent restaurants and a just few minutes drive from a nearby water park. Quietly beautiful, it's relaxed, rural France without feeling remote. The space La Donne is situated in the rolling hills of the Gers between Toulouse (1.5 hours) and Bordeaux (2 hours). It’s a quiet setting, with birdsong and wildlife all around. Inside, the house is light, spacious and designed for relaxed living, with comfortable seating, a log burner and a separate snug with a large sofa and Smart TV. The well-equipped kitchen includes everything needed for leisurely meals, both inside or in the shade of the walnut tree overlooking the Pyrénées. Nearby towns and villages also offer great restaurants choices and lively summer night markets. Upstairs are four comfortable bedrooms: one super king, two doubles and a twin (or super king on request), all with quality bedding, shutters, mosquito screens and fans. A bathroom with WC and a separate shower room are upstairs, with an additional WC downstairs. Fast, reliable WiFi is available throughout. Other things to note A large selection of indoor and outdoor games are included for all ages. A cot and high chair are available on request. Well-behaved dogs are welcome, although the gardens are not fully enclosed. Bed linen and towels are provided, with pool towels available on request. There is shaded parking for guests. To help us avoid Airbnb's additional cleaning costs, we simply ask guests to leave the house tidy, with the kitchen, BBQ and rubbish taken care of before departure.
