Countryside getaway in Gascon farmhouse

Relax at our beautifully restored farmhouse set in picturesque countryside and fully equipped for a memorable holiday with family and friends. Enjoy far-reaching views from the private grounds which include a BBQ and games area, table-tennis and large playing field. Discover local markets, charming chateaux, swimming lakes and water parks, or cycle peacefully between vineyards. Alternatively, simply bask in the beauty of the Gers countryside - slow down and experience a true taste of Gascony. The space The farmhouse is ideally situated in peaceful countryside between Toulouse (1.5 hours) and Bordeaux (2 hours), with local amenities just a 5 minute drive away. Nature-lovers will find the perfect setting to enjoy the area's abundant birdsong and wildlife. Inside, the light and open living room has a selection of books and board games with cosy and comfortable seating around a log burner. There’s also a separate snug with a smart TV and large sofa (which doubles as a sofa-bed on request). The farmhouse kitchen is equipped with everything you should need, having stocked up on delicious fresh market produce or local wine, including an induction hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine and fridge-freezer. Enjoy your meals in the dining room; outside in the cool of the covered games area or, our favourite; sat under the walnut tree with views of vines and beyond towards the Pyrenees. Alternatively, treat yourselves to a meal at one of the excellent nearby restaurants or lively summer night markets. Upstairs, you'll find four comfortable bedrooms comprising one super-king, two doubles and a twin-room (which can be arranged as a super-king on request). The bedrooms are equipped with quality bedding, mosquito blinds, shutters, and free-standing fans for a restful night’s sleep. There is a toilet on both the ground and first floors. Fast and reliable WiFi is available throughout the property. Guest access You'll have exclusive use of the house and grounds during your stay, as well as the attached laundry and covered games area, front garden, and playing field. We only ask that the back garden and outbuildings are not used by guests; nor will they be used by anyone else so as to ensure your total privacy at the property. The fenced pond is perfect for bird and wildlife watching. For your safety, swimming or use of the pond isn’t permitted - though a refreshing dip awaits at the Gondrin water park, just five minutes away - highly recommended! Other things to note For little ones, a cot and a high chair can be requested and toys and games for all ages are available. Whilst well-behaved animals are welcome, please note the property is not entirely fenced. We do not charge a final cleaning fee so we ask that guests ensure the house is left in good order; with the kitchen tidy, the BBQ cleaned and the bins and recycling taken away. Bed linens and towels are included, with swimming towels provided on request.
