The Meadow Stable Retreat
The Meadow Stable Retreat
Description
Escape to this beautifully renovated countryside stable on the North Wales border. Full of charm and period features, this peaceful retreat sits beside Ifton Meadows Nature Reserve. Enjoy scenic walks from the doorstep, explore nearby Llangollen, Oswestry, Chester, Shrewsbury, Llandegla, Offa’s Dyke Path, Chirk Castle or venture into Snowdonia. Perfect for nature lovers, walkers, and anyone seeking a relaxing or activity based rural getaway, in the heart of the North Shropshire countryside. The space Former milking parlour and stable, now transformed into a cosy rural retreat. Guest access This is a self contained double bedroom property with a shower room, fully equipped kitchen, dining area and relaxing lounge. Other things to note Parking is opposite the Stable. If you're arriving by motorbike, be aware the compacted stone drive is a 25% incline at the top with some settled-in gravel in the courtyard. The courtyard is private but we can offer secure lock up if preferred. Dog Owners note: There is an enclosed garden for a dog. We have a paddock that was used for horses and has a 4 bar fence which will enclose a medium and large dog, however a terrier would be able to get through it. We are also surrounded by the Ifton Meadows Nature Reserve which has livestock fencing and gates that would contain any animal. Local Amenities: The nearest pub is The Keys in St Martins which is a 20 minute walk. Stans supermarket is also in St Martins and Oswestry has more mainstream supermarkets. Dog friendly cafes? There are quite a few around Chirk, Oswestry and Llangollen.
