Upon arrival, guests enter a locked foyer where they can leave their hiking or ski/ snowboard gear. The next locked entrance opens into the private guest suite. There is a kitchenette/work room on the left, a full bathroom on the right, and straight ahead is the great room with a cathedral ceiling. The room invites privacy, peace, and tranquility. Guests are guaranteed isolation and freedom from neighbors. The room is fully furnished with the left side as the sleeping quarters and the right side the sitting/relaxing area. The room has six windows with picturesque views with darkening curtains for privacy. The room is enhanced with deep shag carpets that add comfort under your feet. There is a smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector for your safety. Our guests rave about the comfort of the queen-sized bed. It has a pillow top mattress covered with pima cotton sheets that are sterilized in hot water before your arrival. All bed linens and throw blankets are provided. There is a 42-inch flat screen TV with FREE Xfinity cable (over 200 channels) and FREE Wi-Fi. In addition, there is a sitting chair, a handcrafted bookshelf stocked with books for your reading pleasure, a leather swivel recliner chair, and a leather sofa with recliners at each end for your comfort and enjoyment. There is a small infrared fireplace heater along with oil, base board heat with a thermostat to control temperature of the guest suite. Air conditioning is included seasonally. The bathroom is equipped with a toilet, sink, and oversized walk-in shower. Guests rave about the water pressure in the shower, stating it is not common to find in a bnb. Shampoo, cream rinse, body wash, and loofah sponges are provided. There is a hair dryer and first aid kit on site. Towels, toilet paper, Kleenex, hand soap, and disinfecting wipes are included. Many guests use the kitchenette as a workspace area. It includes a table, 2 chairs, microwave, k-cup brewer, electric kettle and skillet, toaster oven airfryer combo, and a 4.4 cf refrigerator with freezer. This room is stocked with coffee/teacups, k-cup pods, teas, water, sugar, coffee-mate, paper towels, paper plates, napkins, disposable silverware, and plastic plates and utensils, wine glasses, bottle and can opener. There is an iron/ ironing board. There is a fire extinguisher for your safety. Pets are not allowed. There is no smoking allowed inside our property. The apartment is freshly decorated and not child proof. Therefore, children under 15 are not allowed. Maximum capacity is 2 people; a twin air mattress with bedding and linens is available upon request. No parties or unregistered guests are allowed. You must be 21 years or older to stay with us. We believe in social distancing and offer contactless self checkin / checkout. Guests enter the building via a wireless keypad. Once in the foyer, there is a locked door that gives full access to the private spacious guest suite attached to our main home. Guests are not permitted to enter the main house. Don and Laura live in the main house and are available by Airbnb communication. Guests are not allowed in the main house due to social distancing. We are located in the woods of Southern NH on a private 2-acre corner lot. Our guest suite is the perfect quiet place for your secluded stay. You can not see a neighbor's house from our property. Privacy is guaranteed! You can get to Hillsboro or Weare in 10 minutes. We are 30 minutes to Concord or Manchester. We are surrounded by several lakes: Horace Lake, Deering Reservoir, and Manahan Park beach for swimming, fishing, and canoeing. There is an abundance of picturesque walking, biking, and hiking trails. Nearby Goffstown Rail Trail, New Hampshire Audubon, and Deering Wildlife Sanctuary are favored by our guests. Nearby are three highly rated golf courses: Stonebridge Country Club, Angus Lea, and Crotched Mountain Golf Course. We are near Pat's Peak and Crotched Mountain for weddings, hiking, skiing, snowboarding, and tubing. Also nearby is Mount Sunapee with year-round alpine activities. Historic and quaint Henniker and Peterborough are must-see nearby towns. NH International Speedway is just north of us; come see NASCAR, auto racing, and motor-cycle racing. We are within driving distance to tax-free shopping malls and outlets. We are 75 minutes to the seacoast and Boston. We are centrally located between Concord, Manchester, and Keene. Our immediate area is rural, picturesque, and quiet. We are surrounded by mountains, lakes, and hiking trails. You can easily get to restaurants and shops within 20 - 30 minutes. Some of the quaint towns to visit are Peterborough, Milford, and Portsmouth. Next door local towns include Weare, Hillsboro, New Boston, Goffstown, and Henniker. We require our guests to be over 21 years old. Guests are given the passcode for the keypad prior to arrival. The keypad is affixed to the entrance door above the door handle. When guests enter the foyer, the entrance to the guest suite is on the left. The key to the guestvsuite is 8n the door handle. Guests are required to lock both the apartment door and the entrance door when they leave the guest suite. We ask guests to leave the guest suite key in the door lock when they check out.
