Built in 1820, Elmwood is a lovely Heritage home in Amherst, Nova Scotia. It's often on the list of Heritage walks in the area, to give a taste of what the town was like almost two hundred years ago. The home has been tastefully updated over the years to include a large kitchen, 1.5 bathrooms and 4 clean, quiet bedrooms. It is an older home with a spacious layout and lots of room for privacy. It is quiet, safe and has lovely, private grounds. The space Rather than a modern home, Elmwood is a heritage home with quirks and character. Older homes can be drafty so be sure in winter to bring warm sweaters, slippers and other items, although there are adequate heat sources. The neighborhood is quiet with families on all sides. The road out front can be busy at times so please exercise caution when pulling out. Guest access The sun room with art supplies off the kitchen is currently off limits for guests, as well as the back garage and basement (not for guest usage unless specifically requested) Other things to note Please note: any excessive usage of electricity and/or heat sources will result in additional charges. Please follow house rules which are outlined in a message that will be sent to you prior to check - in. Please be sure to notify me if extra guests are added to your trip.
