Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway in a bush setting. Experience off grid living in comfort and style with solar power, freshest rain water, spacious hot shower and composting toilet. Sit by the fire pit in your private outdoor space. Breathe in the fresh air, enjoy a symphony of birds and frogs, stroll around the gardens, watch the wildlife and be energised by the bush. This is the perfect place to get away from life’s distractions, grab some me-time and indulge your creativity. The space Studio style cabin with combined kitchen and bedroom, separate bathroom with spacious shower and composting (sawdust, no flush) toilet. Separate private space approx 200m from main dwelling. Bed linen (QB) towels and toiletries supplied - extra (SB) bed linen $20 . Outdoor gas stove, BBQ and fire pit. Indoor 200L fridge with small freezer space, toaster, kettle and coffee plunger. Tea, coffee and milk provided to get you started. Ice chest (Esky) provided. Firewood ($25/20kg bag) and BBQ beads ($10/ 5kg). Fire pit use dependent on fire ratings. Guest access Full use of cabin and immediate surrounding outdoor space. Free to walk around the gardens and bush at your leisure and with usual safety precautions. No access to dams. Other things to note Though this is an off grid living ‘shack’ it is very cosy and comfortable. Because it runs on solar energy it is necessary to limit use of electricity during sundown hours, and to be mindful about the number of devices in use at one time eg all lights and kettle and toaster and shower. So use them one at a time and switch lights off when not in use. The composting toilet requires specific instructions such as apply sawdust after use, minimise amount of toilet paper, avoid non-organic materials and waste (wipes, nappies, condoms, tampons), keep lid and door closed, monitor moisture level and adjust fan. For this reason it’s not suitable for children or for more than 2 or 3 adults at a time. As it’s organic it’s not to be used by anyone taking antibiotics or chemotherapy.
