Enjoy space, privacy, nature. This is not for everyone! Relax at a private (heated) cabin that sits on a seasonal stream. There is no plumbing or electricity. The outhouse is shown in photos. Not suitable for toddlers. There is a stream with a steep rocky bank and a narrow bridge without a railing. It's perfect for folks who love the outdoors. There is a hiking trail from the cabin. Lake George (actual lake) is 1/4 mile away. The village with public beaches (and bathhouse) is a 10 min drive. Enjoy the peaceful and natural property. Seasonal activities: hiking, snow shoeing, an evening campfire, and a good night's sleep in a queen-sized bed. Nearby Lake George offers swimming, boating, ice fishing and sometimes skating. Gore Mountain is 50 minutes north. Guests are welcome to hike on the property. Follow the trail up the hill opposite the cabin. I am available by texting through Airbnb. You will have space and privacy. Lake access includes the Fort Ann Town Beach, 4 miles away; the beaches in Lake George Village, about 5 miles away; and two marinas within 2 miles. There are numerous hiking options close by, including a short trail on the property; the Pilot Knob Preserve trail, 2 miles away; and the Buck Mountain trail head about 3.5 miles away. There are two ski mountains within an hour: West Mountain in Queensbury (half hour away) and Gore Mountain in North Creek (50 minutes away). Glens Falls in 11 miles. The Cleverdale Country Store offers home-made food and provides basic necessities and novelties. You really need a car to get around. Your well-behaved dog is welcome under the following conditions: There is a flat $25 fee per dog (no more than 2). You may not leave your dog unattended. Proof of current rabies vaccine is required. There is a $15/person/night charge for up to 2 additional guests, this includes your children. Toddlers are not permitted. It simply is not safe with the stream immediately in front of the cabin. The foot bridge itself presents a hazard. Children must be at least four years old and under constant and careful supervision. Think of this as glamping. You need your own cooking supplies if you plan to make your meals.
