Apartment with terrace in the old Kommandeurhaus

Experience a little time travel and enjoy carefree vacations in a place where you can immediately relax and the clocks tick differently. You will be staying in the old commandant's house of the officer and cavalry captain Hans von Borstel, who commanded the squadron of the 7th cuirassier regiment. The house has been restored in accordance with the monument and ecologically and furnished with authentic furniture. Wall heaters, clay plaster and lots of wood create a cozy atmosphere in which you feel comfortable. The space This quiet apartment on the raised ground floor is the most secluded living area of the historic Kommandeurhaus – slightly elevated, overlooking the quiet courtyard. Large rooms, tall ceilings and the view into the enclosed courtyard create a relaxed, slower-paced atmosphere. The private terrace opens onto the courtyard and makes this apartment particularly pleasant for guests who like to sit outside, read or simply unwind. The apartment on the raised ground floor has: * two bedrooms * a fully equipped kitchen-living room * Two bathrooms * High ceilings and spacious rooms * Wall heating with individual room control The apartment is ideal for up to 4 adults or for families with up to 4 adults and 1–2 children. Occupancy with 6 adults is possible in principle, but we find it very cramped and, in our view, not optimal. A special highlight is the private terrace that opens to the quiet courtyard. It is decorated with plants and seating and invites you to read or have a glass of wine in the evening. Since usually only one apartment is rented during the week, the courtyard is usually at your sole disposal. The enclosed courtyard is fully usable for you and offers: * Barbecue * Fire bowl * Table tennis * Large tables and seating Here you can relax undisturbed, eat together or end the day quietly – without any other guests on the premises. The Kommandeurhaus has high-speed Internet access (approx. 450 Mbps) and WiFi throughout the house. Other highlights 🙌 Werben has a very quiet and well-kept swimming pool within walking distance. So don't forget your swimwear! At the "elbe kanu"-Canuary rental in Werben you can book small or large canoe tours on the Elbe – a short taster tour from Räbel to Werben is also possible. Ideal to enjoy the untouched nature of the Elbe. In addition to the rich culture, you can also discover a beautiful natural landscape here. Storks, cranes, swallows, and wild geese can be seen here in large numbers. The exceptionally low levels of air and light pollution in the Altmark always delight our guests on starry nights. Guest access The apartment, its furnishings and the outdoor area are fully available to you. Other things to note The Commander's House is a historical building with authentic character. Not everything is perfect or highly polished – but real, individual and with a lot of atmosphere. BBQ and fire bowl can be used for a fee of €30.00. We provide charcoal, lighter and wood for this and take care of the cleaning.
